I'd give my left nut just to hear the live show through a walkie-talkie.

But reality is cruel, I doubt I would be close to going

Post Re: the pillows 20th Anniversary Overload! New Releases
I'm definately trying to go. I've found a flight and hotel. The hotel is 2 blocks
away from Budokan, all I need to do is work and save my earnings by
not buying anything and getting a loan from my parents. I only need information
or a guide to buying the DAMN tickets!!!

I'll try everything in my power to be there.
If any of you IM's have the money or time, or even dedication
should go to this show. I don't know how long the pillows will be
together for, so I want to take advantage of this time and see them
in what could be the greatest show ever.
:shred: :shred: :shred: :shred: :shred: :shred:

If you are living in Japan, please lend a fellow Buster some help on the
ticket purchasing. It would greatly be appreciated.

Terra or even Alan would have a better perspective on this, but...I'm pretty sure you're not gonna get tickets by buying them from...well, the typical method. You're probably gonna have to buy a resell ticket for a shit ton of money off of Yahoo Auctions.

What a nice graduation gift from the pillows! I seriously can't wait for all this. It all seems amazing.

Dang it, I just finished PPGTY! I don't know if I'm going to make it through the year without spending a hole through my pocket.

This is freaking amazing though. I don't think I'm going to be getting it all, but the CD is probably going to be a for-sure. I agree with all of you about some of the re-recordings, but these new tracks are too much of a draw. AGH. I'll probably just ending up getting it super late, just like I do with all of my pillows purchases.

When will the tickets be available. I think it said like 7/5/09????
Even if its incredibly difficult, I have to try.

Is there any fans who live in Japan on this forum? If so, how do you buy the
tickets? I'm wondering if one person could wire the tickets back to
the States so that we too will be able to see this AMAZING show.

Paypal works internationally right?

I would also love to try. The show is the week after my fall semster starts, so I wouldn't be missing the first week of school. If I could figure out costs, find a way to get a ticket, and maybe split a hotel room/travel with some other people, then I would seriously consider going. In addition to wanting to see this 20th Anniversary Show, I really want to get out of the country by the time I'm 25. :dead:

Anyways, those new tracks are defintiely on Blue Poppies, and only solidify my reasoning to get this. I'll have to pre-order for sure on my next paycheck. If I was to get one of the two CDs, it'll probably be "Rock Stock... etc" just because it has more newer stuff on it. Anyone know what the rest of that tracklist is? Still though, Im weary on these new re-recordings. One Life and Swanky Street are so PERFECT. Why must they mess with it? The new ending to One Life is really not that good IMO. I do not want to hear a studio version of Sawao wailing on and on at the end of the song.

EDIT

Never mind, just realized out what the other two "Rock Stock" version songs are. I Want to be Salivan and Strange Chameleon. See, why can't they cover the older songs like Salivan? I'm actually kind of sad they have to mess with Strange Chameleon now...

Wowzers, that's a lot of stuff! :o

I don't think I could amass that kind of money to fly to another country and get tickets and all, but I certainly wish you luck. I would love to as well.

Son Goshin, you need to talk to me. I am dead serious about going to the show.
I know the price for plane tickts and have planned to stay at this hotel a
couple of blocks away from the Concert.

PM me for more info, we need to plan.

I'm actually really excited for the new versions of all of those songs. I think that just like the Turn Back stuff, it's going to be less "OH GOD X VERSION WAS SO MUCH BETTER THAN Y" and more "Wow, now we have two really cool versions of awesome songs, I love this!"

Sort of. With Turn Back, they were songs you probably didn't listen to much anyway. In my opinion, it brought Liberty (demo), O-Tsuki-Sama, Want to Sleep For, and Bokura no HAREE Suisei into relevance. I mean, if you didn't listen to those songs much before, as I'm sure was the case with many people including myself...they were essentially new, really good songs.

The sample of the new Funny Bunny sort of got me thinking "Well...it sure is Funny Bunny...albeit with slightly sharper guitars, and lack of Sawao's airy, innocent sounding vocals from back in the 90s."

I think revisiting the golden-era is a mistake. White Incarnation to Living Field would be the best self-cover idea for them to do, I think. I don't think they've changed enough to warrant a self-cover of such recent songs (even if they were 10~ years ago). The self-covers of Hybrid Rainbow and ROSS especially just sound like...really really good live performances.

Agreed. She's my Sister, and Ame no Uteba could be interesting covers from that time period. There's plenty of others too. Heck, maybe Ame no Uteba could get a PV with it like Bokura no HAREE Susei did.
