Transatlanticism or the Photo Album, imo. Those two and You Can Play These Songs with Chords are my favorites. Photo Album being my utmost favorite. That album, well, and Transatlanticism just seem to flow like calligraphy. Plans has the more recent hits though.

We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes. Best death cab album imo. Didn't like Plans or Narrow Stairs nearly as much.
Blink's last album was their best, musically. I'm hoping their new work they're going to make is going to progress on that line.
What link says they'll be making new work? I've heard people talk about it. Though no actual proof and I've searched. Well they could either end up going from were they left off. Or just end up trying hard to be what they were before there last album. I hope they don't and just make new work.

Re: Artist you're currently listening to.
Their new shit? Their -last- album was Adore. I know, technically it was Machine, but no one really liked that album, and as a matter of fact, no one really liked Adore that much either. As for their -new- shit, Zwan isn't The Smashing Pumpkins as neither is new Smashing Pumpkins. So no more talk about -new- Smashing Pumpkins because that doesn't exist.

Their albums could have done with some serious trimming to get them down to just the great and good songs, it would have helped a lot.

Their new stuff is basically like - god help me for this comparison - X Japan. You had a great lineup, it got screwed over something awful, and then you "reunite" sans old members. X Japan, your guitarist died. It's been like 15 goddamned years, GET THE HELL OVER IT. Find a new one, because using a recording of him in concert defeats ANY purpose of having a live concert in the first place, especially in the context that your singer now sucks and your drummer is just this side of decrepit. And Billy, if you can't even pull in Melissa . . . just . . . what the hell. There is nothing new in the Billy Corgan/Jimmy Chamberlin combination, MAYBE BECAUSE YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN PERFORMING TOGETHER UNDER VARIOUS NAMES FOR THE PAST 10 YEARS. Check your ass, Rolling Stone, because Billy and Jimmy are back, but this time, it says Smashing Pumpkins on the bass drum, not Zwan! God, these people make me so angry.

I think I may die from laughing so hard. Just wow. But on topic: Melissa doesn't exist in the Pumpkins... She never really did since she was a replacement for D'arcy. Poor D'arcy. I blame Billy for her addiction. Really, he started the whole "let's do coke and write weird ass songs" idea. As for Jimmy, I don't even know why he stays with Billy seeing as how Billy wouldn't even let him in the Pumpkins as the official drummer. But in all seriousness, the Pumpkins are dead.
I just realized Billy is doing the same crap that Trent pulled with NIN. They broke up, and then reformed, only with all different members (save one), and released dumb fucking albums for a new generation of godless, soulless heathens with bad taste in music who refuse to appreciate the godlyness of the bands original work.

Point being if you can't even get the official replacement for your reuniting efforts . . . why even do it at all?
