I don't know how difficult or easy this is, but if it's on the easy side, do you think we can get a mobile Instant Music forum, for those of us with iPhones, BlackBerries, or a shitty alternative of either?

Doesn't this site load up with mobile phones already? Well I know it might load. But with the pictures it might be slow. So if there was a way to just have it all on text then i'd be possible.

Of course it loads up, and fairly quickly at that. However, it would be convenient to have it formatted for a mobile device instead of having to scroll left to right all the time.

It does, but it's not optimized or formatted for basic Opera/whatever browsers.
I've been on IM a few times with my phone, but navigating's sort of a hassle. You need to zoom out quite a bit, and scroll a ton. Not so enjoyable.

Hmm, you raise a good point. However, I think that there's still gonna be a market for simple, low-band versions of regular sites. Yeah, the browsers are getting better...but cell phone screens aren't getting much bigger. Some people don't have 3G, sometimes the 3G signal is spotty. So having to load full pages can be a hassle, as it takes a while. Again, scrolling can be a problem too:

etc etc. Not a lot of fun. The whole point with WAP browsing is that things are lightweight and DESIGNED for a phone, [i]not just[/i] a simple browser. The iPhone's browser is great, but not everyone has flawless multi-touch gestures on their phone.

Sure, browsers are getting better and better. I have started using the new Bolt browser, and it looks promising. However, we're not going to get out of 3G for a long time, and it will always lag behind land connections. Website design will follow land connection speeds, but WAP design will follow 3G or other wireless speeds - therefore, WAP is going to exist indefinitely, in my opinion. Let's get one here on IM, please.

Don't forget about the psp users who browse with a poor web browser and who have atlest 4mb or ram. I actually tried to long onto IM couple days ago with psp. It works but trying to load all the images made it run out of space. So yeah, I'd be good to have one.
