Post Buh?
Why exactly was my thread locked? Why would you lock a thread where I am trying to sell my pillows shit to people who don't have whatever yet? Are we randomly locking threads now?

It does seem like threads are being needlessly locked.

I agree. Jomes, what's up?
It seems like threads should only be locked when discussion gets way off topic or devolves into a flame-fest.
I don't see the harm in keeping threads open....they're not "cluttering" anything. What's even more cluttering is locking the thread, then having the person make a NEW thread to discuss something related that just came up...

Agreed.

EDIT: Dude, what the fuck? The appreciation thread was to spread your appreciation for certain aspects of certain songs so everyone could enjoy it. It wasn't redundant. There are some songs that we all don't like for one reason for another, and other people love that song (except for Bad Dreams) and it's nice to get other inputs and stuff. Remember when Sawao said how he was really happy with Frontiers? It led a lot of us to come to appreciate the work he put into that song.

You're becoming lock-happy.

My thread about my selling Lostman Goes to America was locked too.

I just figured it was in the wrong section or something, it didn't really bother me, but is somethign up?

As long as there is demand for a thread to be there (i.e. people are still posting in it), and the thread is not appropriate (individual posts can be dealt with, can't they?), then I can't see a reason for a thread to be locked (relocated, perhaps, but not locked). That's just me, though.

Basically threads that are extremely extraneous are being locked to prevent clutter. And by clutter I mean people creating useless threads on a whim, thereby making it harder to sift through to the relevant information. We don't need a general pillows appreciation thread within a forum dedicated to the pillows. We have separate threads for almost every album in which we can appreciate or critique their works.

Also, maybe I'm wrong, but I don't feel like we need a new thread every time someone wants to sell something. I suppose we could consider a general thread for pillows-related items for sale?

I'm locking threads within the pillows forum in an effort to keep, at the least, the central section about the pillows focused and orderly. I apologize if anyone feels like his or her thread is being locked arbitrarily, but I stand by my judgments in this case.

Threads that aren't needed will disappear on their own. If people continue to post, obviously they are still useful. If a thread is locked, it still exists but becomes even more useless because nothing can be added.

Thanks for that, Poey. :| I guess we really NEED the :dizzy: thread. It's incredibly useful and relevant.

See, what I'm saying is that maybe we NEED a place to discuss the topic, but we don't have to have multiple threads for each topic. I propose we have one thread for buying/selling pillows items.

edit: nevermind my asshole-ish sarcasm, Poey. I'm irritated because I am being sexiled from my room at the minute, so I have to make this quick.

I have made a sticky for buying/selling used pillows merch. Is this a good solution? I think so. I'm off for now. Ciao!

That's definitely a good idea, actually. You can list your item, and people can carry out the sales via PMs. Clean, efficient, and there won't be off-topic, bitching posts.

And the appreciation thread deserved a lock, there's at least a billion other threads of similar content already.
