Refer to GR's post in this thread. He clearly not only DID NOT call Joeyuse a name, but merely said that Joeyuse's post was rude and unnecessary. It sort of reminds me of...hmm...I don't know...me getting banned for discussing Sawao's chord use with Culen and later when Culen posted a flaming remark, telling him to "please go away."

This is seriously ridiculous, Plat. You're failing to do your job as a moderator properly. Not only was what GR did not an attack on you, but he's also one of the nicer members on the board.

Joyeuse does seem very biased, which is generally not a problem (because, well, we all are), but when it affects forum moderation, it affects all of us, and I take exception to that.

Though if he's being a big problem, I'd expect Jomei would have gotten to him already. Which is another excellent point - Jomei. If you want to criticize me by the company I keep, then Jomei has his own little circle of friends on here, as well. We've talked about that and both of us don't really want such things to interfere in our modding activities any. If anything, we probably would balance out each other's biases.

Plat, not to be rude, but you've seen plenty of Tatsu's recent posts and have done nothing about it. If you say that you haven't noticed his actions recently then you're lying through your teeth...(or your fingers, as the case may be). Ninety percent of everything he posts are one-line insults directed at other members of the forum, and you know it as well as the rest of us do. Jomei has probably been trying to not rock the boat too much, being the new mod in the group.

The fact is you have no idea how often I'm on here, which threads I read (unless I post in them...that's sort of a giveaway), or which posts I read or simply skim past. Accusing me of being a liar by believing to know my actions is a very very risky move for you to make, and I'd suggest, not under threat of any banning or anything, but just for your own good, not to make presumptions.

I also notice that you haven't given me any links that I asked for. If he's being as bad as you claim, then that shouldn't be much work.

the last one isn't within the main time period of recently, but my point is that Tatsu posts rudely even when he isn't directly flaming people, though almost all of his posts have an elitist/insulting attitude, and he hasn't even received a warning. The reason I said you were lying if you said you weren't aware is because you know exactly his MO and I'm sure you've seen him insult people recently. If you haven't, how can you even be modding very well? Or do you just ban when the person is somebody you dislike at the moment?

That probably sounds ruder than I'm meaning to come across as, but just because banning and modding is up to your discretion doesn't mean you should be a jerk about it and ban somebody for a week for a perceived insult while completely ignoring much more bannable offenses.

Yeah, I didn't notice those. Either I didn't read the threads they're in, were pushed back by new posts by the time I read the threads, or I skimmed by them. I was aware of some public animosity towards him, but not of the specific violation he incurred.

Regardless, he's banned again for that. At least someone bothered to give me evidence. Thanks.

Part of it. However, I can think of two very recent unfair bans: my own, and GR's. I assume it's safe to say that the discussion I had with Culen was far less of an "argument" than what happened in the "post your songs" thread, yet that was the basis for a warning, and the phrase "please go away" was enough to incur a ban while things like GTFO are considered to be all in good taste. And apparently saying that something you said was a "pussy move," i.e. weak and lame, is the same as calling you a pussy, which most people will agree is incorrect. GR criticized what you said, but did not call you a name. He was not being rude, and was certainly not breaking any rules.
