I still vote for clouds. He's been a mod before and as I recall shown that he can do a pretty decent job of it.

You forget the fact that he's part of "the buffet" and hates certain members of this forum.

I was referring to how much he blew one of tatsu's comments on another forum out of proportion. In fact, it's funny how much most of you guys blow a comment out of proportion. "You don't like this album? OMG YOU DON'T LIKE THE PILLOWS!"

I've heard from each person at least once asking why certain members are here, and yet they dislike the pillows. Seriously, guys, what the heck is so worth defending about the pillows new music that you make everyone who doesn't like it and says so into such a villain? Most of the guys you claim are 12 or are so immature carry on pretty well on other forums (check keikaku, right?). What is it about this forum and the people on it that makes it so attractive to be trolled? Probably it has something to do with how many people are so willing to justify the pillows current rut by pointing out how many albums they've made and how many good songs they used to make.

If he made more posts like this, even [i]I[/i] would nominate him for mod.

People don't get angry at you for saying you don't like the new album, they get angry at you for saying things like "the pillows suck."

Well, it's just as much an opinion as saying "I don't like the current pillows or their albums they've recently made." I don't see why it should seem more offensive to you, who is not in the band.

It's not really offensive, but when all you say is stuff like "the pillows suck" and "this song sucks," it gets old. It's kind of like thinline said; you could write more mature posts about things, but you just write short and pointless posts that do nothing to add to the board.

I don't think I've ever claimed hatred of any members of the forum. I have been on one side of the fence, though, when it comes to my opinion, haven't I? But I was like that back when I was a mod before, too. It doesn't mean I'm going to ban you or anything, I would only argue.

I guess i should point out when jomei banned me on fuzz hill for an argument on IM, now that I remember it. It was kind of just in aggirvation or something, but I figure it's the only evidence that he wouldn't be a good mod. Consider this exhibit B.

It's true. I did ban you pretty arbitrarily that time, clouds, but I unbanned you an hour or two later and apologized for it.

edit: If we are using Fuzz Hill as evidence, also consider that it's been a tightly-run ship. There is lots of great information there, it is 90% on-topic, and people are almost always friendly there. Perhaps this is due to a lower traffic, but it could also be that Jedi, Bulkor, and I have run the place well.

I think pretty much every active member of the forum (and some banned people) have been nominated now, so let's not argue over it any more.

Here's a suggestion. make all the nominations mod over one single section. I'm sure there's enough.

All right everyone, let's clear some things up:

1. Many people think that the pillows have fallen into a "rut," so to speak.
2. It's fine that they think this.
3. When stating that one dislikes a song/album/band, it is not necessary to throw around slurs--it is also unwanted.
4. When one states that something "sucks" and gives no justification as to why it sucks, it often appears that there is no justification for the comment, and that the comment was made for the soul purpose of stepping on other peoples' toes.
5. Everyone has different tastes in music, end of story. If you like or dislike something, explain why intelligently. Rebuttals will follow, and all rebuttals should be stated intelligently as well.
6. Has anyone ever thought that this "rut" could just be a stylistic change in music? If the stuff from PML, HB, PL, LB, etc. were first on the discography and then Sawao started to change style to that which can be found in LF and WI, would that be considered a "rut?" Some people will say no, but others would say yes.

I'm not trying to seem pretentious, but damn, wake up people.
