It is called nicotine; it is a soulseek client.
It uses python and works just like slsk.
It has some bugs, but most people dont have a lot of problems. I use it and the worst I experience are a few crashes now and then.

He's talking about a different client. There are actually 2 or 3 Mac OS X native clients, but they never made it past the early development stages, so they all really suck. Nicotine works good though. I've never had any problems with it.

Nicotine works fine for me most of the time. I've heard people say it has some bugs though.

I downloaded SLSK for mac once, but it wouldn't work. I'd click the icon and it would start to open... then close.

you may have been using an unstable release, or you may have installed it incorrectly.
If you follow the instructions at http://www.7nights.com/asterisk/archive ... for-mac-os than you should have no problems.
Or maybe you will have problems.
I don't know.

Yeah, I remember that one. Aside from Virtual PC, the best SoulSeek solution for OS X is Nicotine.

"This project is an example of how to turn a [Fink] package into an application bundle. No more administrator access, no more terminal. All you need is OS X Panther and [Apple's X11]."
This is really easy to install and use.

I highly reccomend it. If you've got X11, it works just like any other OS X app. Just drag and drop to install, and double-click to launch. It looks damn ugly since it's a UNIX app, but it works.
