I recently had the chance to see this man perform in Boston. He just turned 80; and he still sounds and acts like he's in his twenties. The man has heart, soul, and love for what he does. Plus he's the last voice of a generation. When he's gone, there goes an entire genre of music. No one is like him; even Sinatra knew that. That's why he was his favorite singer.

In today's world, I cannot see any of our generation's performers doing this into their 80's; even the Pillows. Bennett is the only one who is able to do this.

"I've been doing this for nearly 60 years," he told the crowd. "And I hope to continue doing so for another 60."

I honestly think he'll do it.

Oh by the way, anyone who makes fun of Tony Bennett will be shot and have their body dumped into the Hudson.

I saw Tony Bennet last summer. He's a good guy, and he really does have a lot of passion. If anything, everyone should at least respect his impressive longevity.
