hideki kaji
Former bassist for Bridge, 1967 born KAJI Hideki's first solo work "Muscat E.P." was released in August 1996, followed by his first album "Mini Skirt", an instant smash hit.
While kept busy with his frequent releases, KAJI Hideki also wrote and produced songs for other artists such as Chocolat and KATŌ Noriko.
Kaji-kun (as called by his fans) is a Sweden fanatic, and some of his works were produced by Tore Johansson at the famous Tambourine Studios. His refreshing guitar pop sound is referred to as "Swedish pop" by Japanese.
After having been with the now defunct Shibuya-kei label Trattoria for a long time, KAJI Hideki is now with the post-Trattoria label Felicity.

i admire hideki's sound - he's similar in vein to a lot of shibuya-kei artists, but there's something different about his music, undoubtely influenced by swedish pop and how he evaluates a spark of everything in his songs - ranging from jazz, keyboards to crisp guitar. if one isn't used to raw energy pop songs, it's hard to like hideki at first - but he almost grows on you with his addictive, charming music.

I really like Tea a lot. Good album. Any of the Hideki Kaji fans here ever listen to the two Cardigans albums First Band on the Moon and Life? They are a Swedish pop band, and on those albums their sound is really similar to Kaji's.

Love Hideki Kaji, And since i'm swedish i particulary like the title names, Like My Favorite Tofflor (tofflor means slippers in swedish), Ramlösa ( A swedish mineral water beverage..), Suddenly Sibylla (a "street kitchen" serving hamburgers and hot dogs)... And Mr.Sweden of course,,, any translations for that song?
