Post Scratching effect?
can somebody tell me how to make the scratching effect noise with a guitar. It's in alot of songs. Some pillows songs too, like Monster C.C and Waiting at the bustop. I've been playing guitar for about a year, but i don't know how to make this noise. So if someone can debcribe or tell me how to make that noise with my guitar, it would be very helpful. Thanks.

Yeah, I'm learning Monster C.C now, and I was wondering about that.
(Remember, I suck at guitar currently, and probably for some time in the future.)

it's nothing more than a pick scrape.

Take 'Waiting at The Busstop' for example, Manabe just

takes the side of his pick and rapidly scratches the strings.

It is used mostly on the wound strings (E,A,D).

You just take your pick and scrape it along the string.

It's possibly the most straight forward guitar trick.

i get that, but do i just lay the pick flat on the strings and slide it up the neck or just up and down in the same place? Also just so i can try it out, does anyone know the chord to hold for waiting at the busstop during the pick scrape?
