Post Uno! Dos! Tres! Catorce!
Last night a friend of mine took me to see U2 at the Fleetcenter (and I didn't have to pay for anything  ). Ho...ly...$hit!!!! The band put on the most awesome show! The opened with "City of Blinding Lights," and then went into "Vertigo" (they say "Catorce" because this is their 14th album, in case you were wondering) and "Elevation." They also did a lot of their old stuff like "Pride (In the Name of Love)" and "Sunday Bloody Sunday." They also did a promo for their One campaign (then went into that said song); then came back and did a couple of other songs (I think they did "Zoo Station"), finishing with "With or Without You", which I felt was a very appropriate way to end it.

I know some of you think this band is overrated; but you can't stray from the fact that they can put on one hell of a show.

Does anyone else have a live U2 experience; or just wants to say something about them (good, bad, and ugly)?

My brother and cousin went to one of their shows and felt pretty much the same way you do

The whole Spanish thing ruined that, otherwise cool, single. The rest of the album is, albeit overrated, not too bad. It was a little disappointing, considering how hyped up it was, but not bad.

I agree.

For some reason when Frank Black sang in Spanish it seemed cool and

weird, but when Boner does it seems tired and cliche.

Funny thing about U2 their first few albums were incredabley underated and their newer stuff is incredably over rated. In other words, when people should have noticed them, they didn't. Then, they sold out. I bet they do put on one hell of a show though.

Best U2 album IMO, Unforgettable Fire, then WAR and Boy coming in at a close second. The rest of their stuff, meh.

Here's the set list (if anyone was wondering):

City of Blinding Lights
Vertigo
Elevation
Gloria
The Ocean
Beautiful Day
Miracle Drug
Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own
Love and Peace or Else
Sunday Bloody Sunday
Bullet The Blue Sky
Running To Stand Still
Pride In The Name of Love
Where The Streets have No Name
One

The Fly
Until The End of the World
With Or Without You
Out of Control

All Because of You
Original of the Species
Bad

I missed the last 4 songs because my friend wanted to beat the traffic; and I guess I mistook The Fly for Zoo Station (Achtung Baby is the only album I haven't heard).
