Here's the deal: Pick a song and the part you want to play in it, and then sign up here. Make a post in the following structure:

Tabbing Committee (Optional)

However, you may only sign up for one part of one song [i]each day[/i]. [b]*IMPORTANT NOTE AT BOTTOM*[/b] If you miss a day, you can pick an additional song for each day you miss, but it's first come, first served, so it's best to sign up early each day. The cutoff is the time of this post, every day - so if you sign up now, you have to wait until 6:43 PM EST tomorrow evening to sign up for another. This will help eliminate any advantages people might get from not working/staying up late/etc.

Since we all typically like all of these songs, it shouldn't be too much of a problem if you don't get the exact song you want. However, if someone has signed up for a song that you really want to do, PM that person and work it out privately. This thread is for signups. If you otherwise have an issue, post it in the now-defunct song poll thread, which will now be a suggestions thread.

As you may have figured out, you may also sign up for the Tabbing Committee here. You may sign up for a song as well as for the Tabbing Committee on the same day. After we get a few people on it, we will all get in touch with each other and divide up the work, preferably working in at least pairs, even if we have less tabbers than we have songs.

After a song's roster that you are participating in has been filled up (or as it gets filled up), send a PM to each of your partners with your e-mail address, AIM or other instant messaging handle, and/or your phone number, as well as your name, since you will probably be getting to know these people if you haven't already. It would be unwise to post this information here, unless you enjoy spam.

*Parts marked by a (?) are indefinite. One may still sign up for said parts. I suppose if you suggest yourself for more than one song in one day, I will write your name in, as an indication that you want that part, but anyone who uses their sign up over you will have priority. Also, if you have two or more undecideds, I will sign you up for the first, and put a (?) next to the rest. If more than one person is undecided for the same part, I'll put both of them down. Then, the first one to sign up for it legitimately wins, or you can work it out privately.Try to keep this to a minimum until tomorrow, once everyone knows the ground rules. I wanted to let a few sign-ups get in before I did mine, since it would have been unfair if I did it immediately. Also, feel free to update the list, Mare, since you're the only mod involved.

Also, we really need a lot of people on the tabbing committee. Even if you can only offer a transcription of a band score, that is good enough. Even though this is generally fun and games, we do need some people to donate some of their time and effort into this project as well, via tabs and technical support. Yeah, recording is hard, but it's a lot more fun than tabbing, so if you really want to show your love for this project, sign up to tab.

Well, I'm assuming most people already have the Best Collection band scores in GP atleast, and the only other band score I have is the PP one, but we got no songs from there. I could maybe help tab a few, not the best tabber out there, but it'd be good practice, and I'm sure I could get them to be fairly accurate.
