It's an orchestral recording of epic Square medleys - Kingdom Hearts, Chrono Cross/Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana and Final Fantasy.

I haven't properly listened to the whole thing. But the Secret of Mana track = :wub: :wub:

Good post. Reminds me that I need to go back and actually beat Secret of Mana.

Currently listening to the Chrono Trigger/Cross Medley. :groovin:

Symphonic Fantasies is pretty amazing. And specifically the Secret of Mana suite, Jonne Valtonen put out an experimental arrangement which turned out to be one of the best segments of the concert. They used a lot of odd sounds features (whistles, crackles and different types of percussion to mimic that whale sound and the rain and stormy wind at the beginning in "Angel's Fear", or even the Flammie Drum sound). Nobuo Uematsu said on a interview that he got a little jealous because of the treatment that this medley received.
It's a shame that Valtonen didn't included more action-packed themes in the mix, but I dare to say this the best medley of SoM I've ever heard.

The good thing about the Symphonic concert series is that they stream the concerts live on the WDR Radio, or in some cases like Symphonic Fantasies, stream live video, which is really cool. I remember seeing this live 2 years ago, and it send shivers down my spine every time I listen to it. :groovin:
