Anyone else into these guys? They're pretty awesome, you should check them out if you haven't ever listened to them:

I first heard about them from the Cartoon Network Groovies they did for Signal in the Sky (Let's Go!) and then I came upon New Magnetic Wonder. My favorites from that album are the two you posted, as well as Skyway and Can You feel It?. I've been meaning to look into more of their music... Album suggestions?

Yes yes yes. Story time, if you don't mind.

They recently went on tour, and I really like them, so I was really ready to go see them. The Turf Club, though, (the venue at which they were playing) has this "strict" policy of not letting in minors (that's me). Well, usually I have no problem getting into shows even if they are 18/21+, so I was sort of sad, and also, I really just wanted to see them play. SO. Someone suggested to contact to Robert to see if he could pull any strings. He directed me towards his wife Marci, who is great, and told me she was pretty confident she could get me in. We kept up correspondence for awhile, but it started getting closer and closer to the show, and there was still no word. Finally, the night of, about an hour before we were going to head out, I got an e-mail from her clinching the deal on getting in. Whee!

I got there, and I seated myself out in front, and texted her like she told me to. About 15 seconds later, I saw Marci and Robert coming out in front to meet me, and they greeted me warmly, Robert complimented me on my t-shirt, and then they led me inside. They put me on their guest list (wow! I felt so cool being able to say that), and got me in, and then later even GAVE me their t-shirts, no charge. Robert talked with me all night, and the members of the opening bands (Laminated Cat, the Generationals) were also very kind. Their live show was really pretty amazing. Also, I met a woman whose brother used to play with Robert and Jeff Mangum back in the same town when they were little. Robert is a wonderfully friendly person. Afterwards, I talked to Bill Doss in the back alley too, who was a sweet heart as well.

Sorry for having written so much, but I felt compelled to share that. Anyway, yeah, I am definitely into these guys

Oh, and as far a suggestions, I really like Tone Soul Evolution, but I will say it's a bit different in style from New Magnetic Wonder.

^Tone Soul Evolution is my fave album, Fun Trick Noisemaker is another lovely album.

I found them through Cornelius' "Chapter 8 - Seashore and Horizon" off his album Fantasma (another wonderful artist and album people need to definitely check out sometime.) Needless to say I got hooked on their sound pretty quick . :groovin:

That is fantastic. It's really nice to hear about artists helping out a fan like that.
