Guys and gurlys! we all love the pillows RIght?! DUH. aww but wait! they live in JAPAN! and they dont come out here very often. It sucks I know.

Thats why Im thinkin of bringing together an awesome cover band, OR! a band that plays music influenced by japanese bands, bands such as: The Pillows, Asian Kung Fu generation, Condor44, BEAT CRUSADERS, sex machine guns YKZ plus Alot more!
I mean If we work hard....We could open up for the pillows the next time they come around!

Heres the thing, I have a drummer...thats it...what we need is One Bassit one more guitar player and a keyboardist! and yes I need singers!

I have all the equipment for a band even extra guitars (no keyboard sorry)

It would help to stipulate where the band will occur, although I am sure you will hard-pressed to find enough of us in the same geographical location.

Well, since it's been stated and generally accepted that enthusiasm for the pillows is way down around here, a project like this would be a pretty productive thing to do. Best case scenario: this "cover band" actually becomes a monthly/weekly/sporadic forum activity that anyone can participate in, and after the first few song are uploaded in all their glory, we might even attract new members from the YouTube community. However, for whatever reasons, the last attempt to even get started on a similar project failed; why would this be any different?

edit: I was under the impression that this was an internet exclusive project. Disregard etc.

Is an internet band out of the question?


We could do youtube collaborations and whatnot.

Well, I live In richmond CA, if anyone lives in SF or any of the bay area, I would put most of my time in this. It dosent hurt to try ya know?
if it really came down to it, we could Rent a practice studio. I have alot of band equipment such as drums amps guitars ect.

Plus I would love to help make this website be more Known.

I live in the Bay Area too, but I have no extra time at the moment. My school, work, and social life is stacking up on me and its getting a bit heavy. But sometime in the summer I can most likely find some time for a band project.

where is this "bay area" and why don't i live there with my IM brethren?

I'm in San Diego, but recently I found some friends that also like the pillows to a certain extent, only Sawao's guitar is for the most part extremely boring to cover, unless you're singing. And we're not singing. So we're looking for more fun to play songs. :/ We compared us covering the pillows to me having sex with the guitar as Manabe, and them just looking at it.

hmmm I would do anything for this great idea, it would really be fun. but Im guessing this wont happen....but thats ok...A man can dream, a man can dream
