Effects pedals
ok, i have a strat.. and for free i just got a fender twin tube amp! mint condition!
i need some pedals though.. my small collection is mostly borrowed, and mostly broken.
the things i hear suggested most often when i ask whats pedals to get:
blues driver
bug muff
tube screamer
rat box
i love playing all styles of music.. i just need some feedback on how these things sound. EVERYONE here loves blues drivers.. what do they sound like..? input, please.

Boss Super Overdrive does it for me. Then again, I use a Fender Twin and a guitar with a very loud preamp in it, so my pedal situation is a little bit unusual.

i liked the sound of that too.. but the only one that really screamed "buy me!" was the blues driver..
anyways, its a shame.. i have a fender twin.. but in my nieghborhood.. theres never a time when i can turn up the volume at all. so very sad. the volume knob has dust around it everywhere except the '1' mark..

The super overdrive really does sound nice on a twin. I wasn't too fond of how the blues driver sounded on it, but to each their own. Also, like I said, my guitar responds very unusually to pedals, so that could be part of it.

I hate metal Zones, personally. I tried one side by side with a bunch of other Boss distortion's and it sounded far too empty.
I know many of us wouldn't have blues drivers if it weren't for Manabe's showcasing of the pedal, but it's the nicest overdrive you'll get for the price. By far.
You might also want to check out a few Wah's - It's like a staple in a guitar players inventory. They seem like more of a novelty to me, but some people use them alot (read: too much).

Sorry for pulling a Mare, but I'm gonna bump this old topic. I need advice for a pedal. I'm gonna get a Blues Driver and a Big Muff, but I was wondering if the Mega Distortion and OD3 Overdrive are worth getting, or should I just get a multieffects pedal. I don't know much pedals.

Yeah, I use it to stand in for an amp's regular distortion, then use the tube screamer to push it over the top. Sounds good for yngwie type stuff, but yes, it does sound somewhat hollow. That's why i use the TS over it.
