 Anybody know anything about this band? (ling tosite sigure) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0FghhcN ... ed&search=Kind of emo, I know, and fail for the double bass pedal that Jedi pointed out to me, but cool guitar work, amirite? Female bassist ftw, also.

Interesting. I'm curious about this band as well. Kind of sound a lot like Base Ball Bear except a lot less pop and a lot more emo.
EDIT: Apparently the name of the band is Ling tosite sigure? And they came out with a new mini-album recently? And they are a lot more emo than I thought.

EDIT AGAIN: Apparently, more people call this band Rin Toshite Shigure, even though the other name is more correct.

They seem very good musically, though they could use a lot less emo-ness. I thought the bassist had a good voice, though.
This song is sort of like a more emo, more musically dense version of The Third Eye. Hrm.

wow awesome bass action on the female part. serious win. its pretty good but i really dislike the vocals. reminecent of sparta locals for me....

Thanks for the upload.
I think them putting the name is ling tosite sigure is just playing around with stuff. in japanese, you tend to type "shi" as just "si" though that doesn't explain the "li" part...

Not pronunciation-wise.
Overall they're okay but not really that great. I can't see myself listening to them very much.

They wouldn't be the first to write their name differently in English than Japanese. Ever heard of a little band called 銀杏BOYZ? Ginnan =/= Ging Nang.
I'm looking forward to giving this album a listen.

Yeah. I had originally said that "it's definitely Rin toshite Shigure" before seeing the site and noticing that they do indeed write it ling tosite sigure. but yeah, not said that way.
