Post subject: | Where to get Japanese Music |
I know the website is against uploading music to this site specifically, but I thought I should share with you guys some sites where I get my music. Please keep in mind though that these artists appreciate it when you buy their work...especially when it's from fans from overseas. http://mullemeck.serveftp.org/jps_beta/ JPOPSuki tracker (you need a Bittorent client and register with this site to download) http://www.z-degrees.net/forums/index.php?& Z-Degrees.net (you need to register to download) Since I'm going on the assumption that everyone here is a J-Rock fan, JPOPSuki is EXCELLENT for J-Rock. Z-Degrees is decent for J-Rock, but it's geared more towards Korean and Chinese music, the Japanese music is mainly pop from artists who go across Asia (i.e. DBSK, Rain, Se7en, etc.) But Z-degrees uses direct downloading so if you don't want to mess around with the new-fangled technology of Bittorent (though it REALLY isn't that hard). Z-Degrees is pretty decent. Additionally, if you just request some J-Rock, they're usually good about fulfilling your request. Some J-Rock Bands I HIGHLY recommend: Ajikan (Asian Kung-Fu Generation) Laruku (L'arc~en~ciel) Do As Infinity Dir en Grey (I personally don't see what people like about them, but they're wildly popular, maybe you have a different view point from me) X Japan abingdon boys school High and Mighty Color If you guys know of any other sites, post em |

Jpopsuki is where I got most of mine. I don't feel bad about downloading it if it isn't available for purchase in the US. I buy all the JRock released in the US, hoping they'll release more, but I don't import. To pricey for me. ![]() |

Sorry, dude, but most of those bands you suggested aren't very good. Including AKG (OMG, I went there). Edit: Here's some Japanese bands that I, myself, highly suggest which can be very easily found using slsk (SoulSeek). NUMBER GIRL bloodthirsty butchers ART-SCHOOL Ellegarden Fishmans SUPERCAR VOLA & the ORIENTAL MACHINE (only "WAITING FOR MY FOOD", though) Just to name a few. |
"]text
Yeah, what he said^^, although I can't totally back up his Ellegarden endorsement. Also, you should check out VOLA's "ANDROID -like a house mannequin-", if only for the tracks blue song, hane no hikari, Mexico Pub, and Oriental Machine. |

So lets just agree to disagree. |

Mare lock (feel free to flame me, as I expect no less than the absolute bullshit you guys give Jolmes every time he does his job at locking excess/incorrectly done threads ![]() This site isn't about pirating music; most people already know about these sort of sites or can find them in other ways. This section of the forum IS about threads pertaining to bands other than the pillows. If you want to talk about crappy bands like L'arc~en~whatever, make a thread for it (unless there already is one). ![]() |
