And note that I posted that I planned to see it in there. I can, however, and did post that I was going to the Philly show. I was hoping to see if anybody at IM was going.

Blank,

a) douching it up
b) double-posting

Stop it. Seriously, cry about it.

I don't think you get it, Mare.

Either (a) your lock didn't make any sense, or (b) this thread deserves to be locked on the same grounds.

I am more inclined to agree with (a), although technically this thread is worse off for existing, for the following reasons:

1) The "Nine Miles" thread is rather broad, and concerns the artist (in fact, the topic is specifically along the lines of "What are your opinions on Nine Miles?"), rather than news pertaining to him. At most, a move to the "Music" forum would have been appropriate. However, the "Last Show/Next Show" thread is rather specific, and entails exactly what is stated in this thread.

2) The "Nine Miles" thread is far older. If a thread has seen a prolonged lack of conversation, it makes just as much sense to make a new one as it does to revive the old one. However, the "Last/Next Show" thread is both very recent, and presently active.

So yeah, Blank's douching is warranted (although perhaps not his double posting...it is only acceptable in the Killing Field, as it is). However, ultimately, Mare is a mod, and Blank is not. That means that Mare gets to do what he wants, and Blank's opinion doesn't matter. Mare wins.

I locked said thread because the Nine Miles thread already contained an announcement of the new release. I started this one because that's what people tend to do when they're talking about a specific show they're going to and are interested in seeing if anybody else plans to come along. I wouldn't want to turn the "last show/next show" thread off-topic by starting a side convo about who may/may not be going to a particular show.

Show was fucking awesome. I finally picked up Living with the Living, which I've listened to several times today, and is fucking great, a VA that has a song by him on it (which I got for free, the guy didn't feel like counting and gave me 36 bucks of stuff for 30 :D), hopefully there's some good stuff on that, a T-shirt with the artwork for Shake the Sheets on it, and four pins.

He played all of my favorite songst: Me and Mia, ♥ Biomusicology ♥, Timorous Me, Where Have All the Rude Boys Gone, Tell Bealgury Balgury is Dead...several other ones that just aren't coming to me right now. I had to wait four hours in the Philly train station for a train back here, lol. Was very much worth it, despite the first opening band beyong ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE, the second band being mediocre, and the crowd being REALLY REALLY TAME. Literally, the first band was some girly "rock" band whose songs all sounded the same, had only one guitar that was doing just rhythm work the entire time, and the whole crowd hated them. When they asked the crowd if they wanted to hear some certain type of song, practically everyone yelled out "No!" lol. They ignored it and finished out their set, which I have to admit probably took a little bit of guts in front of a crowd that not only wasn't into it, but didn't like it at all, but then again that was because they sucked, so whatever. Also the kid next to me was an emo douche who stood there sulking the whole time glaring at everyone. I lol'd because it was funny to see someone so determined to look like he wasn't having fun.

During the middle of one of the breaks when he was talking, some girl threw a fucking teddy bear up onto stage to give to him, lol.

Anyway, it was fucking awesome times, and while he said that they were going to be taking a berak from touring for a while after this tour, I'm definitely going to go see them again next time they come by.
