 "It's on random!"
This isn't about music, per se, but it's about when you've got your playlists up and your player is on shuffle or random. This thread is about the random, funny shit that you've seen happen when it's been like that. Note: Shaun of the Dead references (other than the topic title) don't count.
Last week, I had easily over a thousand songs on my list and when it went from Pink Floyd - Brain Damage to Eclipse, I lolled.
Another time, I had maybe 300 songs on and the playlist went from #2 to #11 in order.

I had about 800 songs on a playlist and it went from Last Dinosaur to Crazy Sunshine in order. Then it went all the way up to Foo Fighters, so I know it was on shuffle.

I once had the pillows "Runners High" be followed by the Straightener cover. Weird.

I once had a Judy and Mary song come on, then skipped it, another one came on, skipped it, another one came on, skipped it, another one came on, skipped it, another one came on, skipped it and then finally it went to something else, but Judy and Mary kept coming on constantly. I was getting annoyed.

More of this.
I think the coolest one for me was hearing the pillows's cover of Fakin' It followed by Simon & Garfunkel's. It was cool.
I listen on random a lot.

Same here. On my mp3 player, I had like 160 some songs going, and I swear Winning Come Back! popped up six times within thirty plays.

I don't use random cause it's for people who don't really appreciate music.

Same, for the most part. When I grow bored of my music and have nothing new, though, I do it so I can listen to lots of good stuff at once. Problem is, a lot of the music I have that pops up is shit I got sick of. I mostly listen to a whole album at once. It's how it should be. Albums, usually, are intended to be listened to from start to finish. However, sometimes, I can listen to a few of the same songs over and over just so I can get how it goes/lyrics to either sing or play guitar to it.

i also honor the album as a whole.

I listen to albums straight through a lot too, but when I don't have any particular album I feel like listening to, I just put it on random. I'd say more random is for people who have only music they like on their computer and aren't in the mood for just one particular artist/cd.
