Is it just me? Or every time I turn around there is another crappy emo band that happens to be on the radio every 5 minutes. Lets take Panic! at the Disco. My opinion = makes my ears bleed. Fallout Boy - what the fuck is this. Taking Back Sunday - OVERRATED/ play the older albums please. Brand New - pretty good lyrics. Dashboard Confessional - .....Why do all the girls love them? And then i forget my train of thought |

Sadly this is America now. Get out before they hypnotize you into making you love emo. |

Eh, it's just "music for the youth". I admit that there are a few songs by "emo" bands (at least, I think they're emo), that are pretty catchy though. :S |

It used to be AERO before it switched to JACK, because JACK is one of the lamest radio stations ever. Also, KROQ is horrible nearly all the time. Indie 103.1 is okay sometimes. |

The only thing worse than emo is classic rock radio. |

American rock scene is dominated by emo/post-hardcore (may aswell be the same thing) and artsy minimumalist rock with driveless guitars. It's harder and harder find good rock in the states nowadays because there's like... no soul in it anymore. Sure Emo SAYS its emotional, but I cant listen too it and hear anything other than synthetic emotions. Jazz and blues are good, but they can get too technical. Music seems too be in a slump brought on by too much logic or desperation too be different. |

And don't you guys remember when 103.1 KDL was broadcasting. They played techno and stuff and did hilarious prank calls. But Indie takes their place now. |

Saying that most current American music doesn't NECESSARILY equal Japanophilia. America has plenty of great bands, just hardly any recently that I know of/are easy to find. |

Did you even read his post? You probably can't think of any because you're not actively searching for any good bands. Great examples of American musicians include, but are not limited to, the following: Miles Davis Julian "Cannonball" Adderley John Coltrane Bill Evans Stan Getz Max Roach ![]() ![]() |

Miles Davis [/quote] Actually I have been actively searching for good bands, and been doing so rather successfully, with a little help from my friends. I was just saying that not liking America's current mainstream =/= weeaboo. Miles Davis ftw, btw. |

I never said that American mainstream music equaled an obsession with Japan. He said that we should get out the country before they force us to like emo music. He's a confirmed weeaboo, which led me to call him a Japanophile. So it's as if he was saying that Japan would never force us to like shitty music because there are no shitty bands in Japan. ^___^ |
