Post orange
today i stopped by my local music store and they had 4 orange amps on display. 3 of them were of the "Crush" series. meaning that they were the practice amp kind. the other was a half stack. it was an AD series. i saw the price tag and it said $979 or something like that. now i don't know if this was just for the head or both, but thats actually not really that bad, compared to some marshall amps. further more, the price on the practice amp, which come to think of it, i think they were all the same amp, had a price tag of $179.

at first the amps looked kinda constructed of plastic. that might be due to the fact that the vinly covering is colored orange and on other amps, it is usually grey or black. unfortunatly, i did not try one out. due to the fact that i was only in the store to get new strings. plus, the people who work at this store are complete assholes when it comes to touching or playing their stuff. to give you an idea, its not guitar center. and i did not have my camera with me to take a picture. but i will tell you that i want one more that i used to. i even picked up some Orange propaganda!
i'll see if i can scan it tomarrow.

I looked up Orange Amps on ebay and they were like 800 euros or something. But they're the vintage kind. I really want an orange amp, but I'm stuck with my little 60s amp that will 'splode if I plug it in too long. My friend says that someday I'll forget and get shocked and then the obituary would say "Died from freak guitar accident."

They had some in a guitar shop in NY when I was there for the show. Not bad prices. But... if a guitar stores employee's are assholes about playing the gear they have on sale - how do they expect to sell anything?
Orange amps sound fine though. :P

My dad used to own a music store that sold guitars and stuff before he got married, then he sold it to my mom's brother afterwards, and then he sold it to his friend but still worked there. They've only had a few orange amps in stock through the last 20 years or so.

edit: I wish my dad and uncle didn't sell it off, because it would have been my inheritance... now I get a construction company as my inheritance...
