The Dragon Roost Island song from Wind Waker is great.

-Super Mario RPG by Yoko Shumomura, dig the Forest Maze theme. Everything about music in this game is genius.

-Just about anything Final Fantasy by Nobuo Uematsu, the president of everything video game music. I particularly favor his work in FFVII.

In that music download thread, there's a band I downloaded called YMCK. It's 8-bit music with J-poppy female vocals. Pretty fun to listen to. Track 7 on the album Family Music is my favorite song from them.

There's a few real standout tracks on the Sonic Rush soundtrack, namely Right There, Right On, Ethno Circus, Wrapped In Black, and Jeh Jeh Rocket. Same guy that did JSR music, although Rhino said that the JSR music is superior, so seek that out first. I'd share the sonic rush stuff, but I didn't transfer it from our old hard drive yet.

I got this neat nintendo orchestra music from Nintendo Power a while back, Smashing...Live! I think it's called, with great orchestral renditions of character themes and such for SSBM. It's probably old news, though. Regardless, the Dr. Mario piece is so lovely. I also got a mini soundtrack for 8.8 when I renewed my subscription along with a players guide, though I haven't listened to it yet.

Also, the boss music for Skeith in .hack//infection. GREAT SUCCESS. I need to keep playing that game, I stopped playing when I got to Outbreak, and even when I do pick it up and play through, I don't have Quarantine, so I have to find that either online or EB. Cross that bridge when I get there, I guess.

YMCK is pretty good, yeah. I'm not sure which track "track 7" is, but Pastel Colored Candy is definitely a standout track on that album.

I didn't like Hideki Naganuma's work on Ollie King (a skateboarding videogame), and I've only heard Wrapped In Black from the Sonic Rush soundtrack. I thought it was pretty mediocre.

Jet Set Radio Future sound tracks for the win. Intoduced me to bis, Scapegoat Wax, and Cibo Mato...all of which I'm very thankful for.

Chrono Cross and Wild Arms opening songs = YES

I remember a friend was like, "What's up with Kid's boobs? They're big and round in the opening sequence, but they're small in the game, wtf?" What a dork, she's obviously wearing a padded plunge pushup bra underneath the thin material shirt. Goodness, who the hell complains about crap like that?

I had Chuck Norris and Orhla, the Drunken Sweedish bartender chick on my team. I got a shit ending because I didn't do that thing with the chrono cross in the final battle. I didn't really have a clue, pretty much screwed the pooch with that game. I agree, great music, though.

Some Mega Man songs are required, especially Shadow Man, Snake Man, Top Man, Magnet Man, Castle boss music for MM3 and 4, Skull Man, Gravity Man, Charge Man, Bubble Man, Flash Man, Crash Man, Elec Man, Gyro Man, A few ending themes and Wily's levels, etc. infinity.

^GR^ Wrapped In Black I like mostly because it's totally unexpected and borderline black supremist, mostly for lulz. Right There, Right On has a neat bass line, Ethno Circus has a peaceful hypnotic strumming pattern on top of beatboxing vocals, Jeh Jeh Rocket is just crazy with childrens' voices saying JEH JEH ROCKET EEYAAHHH! JEH JEH EYU JEH JEH ROCKET AH EYAHHHHHH ROCKETTTT EYAHHHHHHH JEH JEH! over bips and screeches. It's pretty much bonkers.

Track 7 is SOCOPOGOGO, I just remembered. I love the instrumental breakdown mid-way through.
Wild Arms opening songs
HOLY SHIT I FORGOT WILD ARMS. Wild ARMs one was perhaps my second favorite game ever. I have 1-4 in Idaho (the first two are the family's, but I totally will steal that shit), though I haven't even gotten a chance to try 3 or 4 yet, as I got them for Christmas and was in the middle of playing Star Ocean 2 at the time.

I have the first Wild ARMs soundtrack on my comp, and fucking love it. Not a bad song on there, and it brings back really fond memories of the game. Unfortunately, I never beat it because when I was at the last save point, MY DAD ERASED IT FOR A GAME OF PANZER GENERAL THAT HE NEVER PLAYED AGAIN. D:

Wow. :(

My bro's playing Wild Arms: Alter Code F right now. Cecilia does this hand waggle thing that's funny, my mom commented when she first saw it, "what's she doing, practicing her handjob technique?"

Lol'd. Also, I got her saying "I don't habeeb it!" instead of don't believe it, and "Shoop Da Whoop" every once in a while for no reason. Fun stuff. :)

He says it's okay, that it's a bit hard to get through, too much grinding, enemies don't have enough exp for their difficulty, level ups barely boost stats. Kinda neat block puzzle things, Calamity Jane and a couple other people are playable, reworked dungeons and stuff. I don't know about it, looks really :|. Three had interesting horseback riding fights and stuff, but an overpowering cel-shaded look, plus, it never seemed like he was getting anywhere plot wise while I was watching. The characters are all kinda lame in that one, but it is entirely gunfighting, main character has double revolvers, one guy has a shotgun, one guy as a sniper rifle, last guy has like a sub machine gun I think.

4 looks the most interesting to me. New battle system, nice overall look and feel. Play 4 first.
