Post SD card Soundtrack for Excite Truck
So here's what I've come up with. I want one song per artist, so I have about five more spots to fill on my 512 MB SD card. (They are all mostly high quality bit rate files, 320kb minimum) Anything you guys think would be awesome, please say. In no particular order:

Beck - E-Pro
Paul McCartney - Fine Line
Herbie Hancock - Rockit
The Elms - Speaking in Tongues
The Alkaline Trio - Time to Waste
Robert Randolph and the Family Band - I Need More Love
Muse - Starlight
Rush - Ceiling Unlimited
Go!Go!7188 - Ukifune
The Frames - Finally
Hot Hot Heat - Goodnight Goodnight
Bloc Party - Helicopter
Jurassic 5 - What's Golden
Ben Folds Five - One Angry Dwarf and 200 Solemn Faces
Yellowcard - Way Away
Frank Black - Johnny Barleycorn
The Arcade Fire - Neighborhood #2 (Laika)
Sum 41 - No Reason
Sandwich - Sunburn
Wolfmother - Woman
Rilo Kiley - Portions For Foxes
Modest Mouse - Ocean Breathes Salty
Avril Lavigne - Mobile
Switchfoot - Ammunition
Sambomaster - Seishun Kyousoukyoku
the pillows - Heart Is There, Heavy Sun, Killing Field, Good Morning Good News (can't decide)
Interpol - Slow Hands
Jimmy Eat World - Sweetness
Reel Big Fish - Snoop Dog, Baby
Less Than Jake - Johnny Quest Thinks We're Sellouts
Pixies - Head On
The Donnas - Fall Behind Me
Ted Leo and the Pharmacists - Heart Problems
The Pink Spiders - Little Razor Blade
Cheap Trick - Dream Police
Noodles - Velvet Underground
Rivermaya - Things Within
The New Pornographers - Sing Me Spanish Techno
Iron Maiden - Run To The Hills
CAKE - Carbon Monoxide (LOL, totally appropriate)
The Killers - Change Your Mind
Danko Jones - Caramel City
The Clash - Police On My Back
AKG - Kimi to iu Hana (full version)
System Of A Down - Sad Statue
Fantastic Plastic Machine - Bachelor Pad
Gorillaz - Dare
Kanye West - The New Workout Plan
Soul Coughing - The Idiot Kings
Dragonforce - Revolution Deathsquad
Flyleaf - Fully Alive
Boom Boom Satellites - Pill, Loaded (can't choose)
Rip Slyme - Galaxy
Sparta Locals - Tokyo Ballerina
Weird Al - Frank's 2000" T.V., Hardware Store (can't choose)
Ellegarden - Salamander (the only song of theirs I've downloaded, it's okay)
TV on the Radio - Wolf Like Me (thinking of taking it off)

I figure Omnistry's always sticking his neck out, time to pick on someone else for a change. :)

win for hot hot heat, they're underrated (especially that elevator album)

fail for the following:
muse (the new album is unlistenable, but the older stuff had some creativity in it)
bloc party
ben folds five (only minor fail, since i can see how people like him but i couldn't get into it no matter how hard i tried)
jurasic five
yellowcard
the arcade fire
sum 41 (i only heard all killer no filler, but it was pretty fail)
rilo kiley
modest mouse (infinite fail right there)
avril lavigne
interpol (also infinite fail)
pillows (i mean seriously)
the killers
kanye west
dragonforce (unless this entire list is sarcastic, in which case you can ignore my reply)
sparta locals
tv on the radio

Your fail-dar is broken, zenkalia. You listed some good bands in there.
win for hot hot heat, they're underrated (especially that elevator album)

fail for the following:

muse (the new album is unlistenable, but the older stuff had some creativity in it)

Haven't listened to any of their other stuff, but I thought starlight was
okay. Yeah, I think the album is pretty gay too.

bloc party

With you again, most of Silent Alarm is insanely boring, except for a few songs. For the context of the game, though, Helicopter works pretty good.

ben folds five (only minor fail, since i can see how people like him but i couldn't get into it no matter how hard i tried)

He's a good guy, I hear his new album sucks because it's too sappy. Selected song works well, and is very funny.

jurassic five

...But he's the verbal Herman Munsta...

yellowcard

They're ok, nothing amazing, selected song works ok. I could possibly drop it for something better.

the arcade fire

You suck. Tunnels may not be a very good opener, but I was a fan from the moment I saw them play Laika on Conan O'Brien. Beautiful song.

sum 41 (i only heard all killer no filler, but it was pretty fail)

Chuck has a couple good songs on it, it's pretty middle of the road. No Reason is awesome, though.

rilo kiley

Portions For Foxes is AMAZING for this game. How can you not like that song?

modest mouse (infinite fail right there)

Maybe I should have put Dance Hall on instead, drunken hick ramblings of DANCE HALL DANCE HALL EVREH DAY to Excite Truck would have failed so hard it would've imploded into a nebula of win nuggets.

avril lavigne

I like Mobile, it's a good song. I'm not terribly fond of her work, but this song works here for me.

interpol (also infinite fail)

Whatever, they're cool. Slow Hands works very well here.

pillows (i mean seriously)

My faggot brother wanted them on.

the killers

New album is nothing to rant about, Bones is garbage, and it's one of the singles. Again, Change Your Mind works for the game.

kanye west

New Workout Plan is funny. Late Registration album is hit and miss.

dragonforce (unless this entire list is sarcastic, in which case you can ignore my reply)

There is one race near the end in Canada that's seven minutes long. Revolution Deathsquad has that long ass three and a half minute instrumental section, which is very fun to hear barreling ass-over-tin-can on that course.

sparta locals

I can't stand his voice, it is truly horrendous. I do like this song however, as his voice is at least tolerable to get through.

tv on the radio

Yeah, I don't think that song works for this game. I saw them live on Letterman, they were very good. Their album recording is not as good though.
Okay, then.

-Yellowcard
-TVOTR

Any suggestions, then? Seven spots are open.

I like alot of the choices you made. You win for Rip Slyme. That song is awesome!! Although Avril?! I'd get rid of that and switch it with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. And do change the Modest Mouse song to "Dance Hall." It's one of their most underrated songs (would've made a great video, too, IMO).

I shall stick my head out once again to help you with the seven choices. Hopefully these are Excite Truck-worthy.

Arctic Monkeys - I Bet That You Look Good on the Dancefloor (good off-road type of sound)
Eagles of Death Metal - Chase the Devil (redneck chase with a hip shake)
Minutemen - Corona (umm...cause it's the "Jackass" theme)
The Vines - F.T.W. (it's a middle finger song)
Violent Femmes - Dance, Motherfucker, Dance (crazy horn section)
GWAR - Saddam-A-Go-Go (umm, 'cause it's crazy fun in a scary sense)
Metallica - Battery (just use Acid/Audacity to remove the soft opening; and you're good to go)

I'll download a few of those and see. No Jackass theme, though. I'm liking The Vines idea, I remember Get Free had a funny ass video. They were getting all blown away by lighting bolts.

Oh, I just remembered The Strokes - 12:51. I liked that one, I think it will work.

+Me First and the Gimme Gimmes - On the Road Again (cover)
+Arctic Monkeys - I bet...

How about Kaiser Chiefs' "Na Na Na Na Naa" and Queens of the Stone Age's "Regular John"? Electric Eel Shock's "Don't Say Fuck" is good, too.

ANYTHING by Number Girl would be better than anything else suggested.

...uh huh. No. I just listened to Sappukei, and most of it sucked shit. Tattoo Ari and Sappukei were the only exceptions, they were cool. Cibicco San is pretty cool.

+Number Girl - Tattoo Ari
+Queens of the Stone Age - Go With The Flow
+Foo Fighters - All My Life
+Keith Urban - Faster Car
8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Card full. FUCK OFF.
