did anyone else see this a couple years back?
a few years ago Comedy Central had a benefit for Autism. they had a bunch of comics and such, but the final act was a musical number featuring:
on drums: Dana Carvey
on guitar and vocals: Jimmy Falon
on guitar and vocals: Conan O'Brien
on guitar and vocals: Adam Sandler
on guitar and vocals: Jack Black
on guitar and vocals: some guy named Lou Reed?
no i don't know who this last guy is, but it was great. they did 'Walk on the Wild Side' by some crappy 70's band.

Really? I was not aware of that.
Lou Reed? Never heard of him.
Actually that is really cool. My son is autistic. I'll have to pick that up.

Shame. Shame.
Lou Reed is the genius behind the Velvet Underground.
And his solo work is also amazing.....
Frank Black even wrote about him.
"I wanna be a singer like Lou Reed, I like Lou Reed...."
PIXIES~ I've Been Tired
Anyway, that concert sounds funny.

i was just joking. Lou Reed is a god. it was a cool performance. the only thing that sucked is that they made the song a little bit more politically correct.
ex. original: "and the colored girls go..."
this version: "and the black girls go..."
i think Adam Sandler even said "African-American girls".
other than that it was really cool and really funny.

I remember it because I myself have Autism (but not like that motherf***in' Rain Man, yo!). I've got the High-functioning kind; so I'm practically normal. Then again, with kids these days having ADD and some other stupid disorder, what is to say is normal? The correct term, I think, is now "average". So yeah, I'm practically average.
By the way...

Great picture. What song do you think they're singing? I would think Conan and the Max Weinberg 7 would do a great Little Busters/RUNNERS HIGH.

Come to think of it, the crazy dancing Conan does sometimes reminds me of Sawao's weird dancing. It's not like he's really _dancing_, he's just kinda, moving around and grooving.
