Vote 10, Please. It's the Burnout Bandslam 2 contest, winner gets Virgin Records demo and a song in an upcoming Burnout game. It'd be cool if one of their songs got on to a new Burnout game, it would fit and contribute to the awesome. I don't care if you don't like them or not, but they said something about being in 2nd overall so far for this, so I figure I'd try to help. If you do vote, please, no bullshit. Note that selected song may not actually be on the soundtrack should they win. They have stated that their new stuff completely owns over their first record, so that's good to hear that they are aware of their flaws and are convinced they've done better since.

I'm not a huge fan of this genre either, but they sound a lot better than most of the shit i hear when i turn on the radio, so...unless skill/talent and success are inversely related every single time, then i think they've definitely got a shot. I like the mix of styles in the music.

The next round is next month, or possibly a week or two into November. They are providing free transportation to D.C. for anyone who wants to buy a ticket, ($10) so I'm thinking of possibly going just for the hell of it. I'd try to avoid the mosh pit, though, but I'm wondering if the judges would think that to be a negative fan reaction. :shock:

They only have 75 tickets available... I should make a phone call soon, if I decide to go.

The show is tomorrow, and I got a ticket. There's probably gonna be a bunch of high school classmates going too, so it should be fun to see some of them again. I'm thinking of wearing my RNRS shirt. :twisted: :wink:

I hope they play Atropa Belladonna, and Duets and Messages. I think those two songs have a lot going for them.

Regional Final is today (12/12/06), if they win this, they go to L.A. for the Million Dollar Contract Final.

I'm not going this time, but damn this is exciting. I got some pictures in my camera from last time, I think I'll upload them soon.

It's not going to be easy, TwentyforSeven is very talented and Envy Insane has a pretty good fanbase, I have a feeling these two bands are going to have a much more prominent showing of fans then last time. Ahimsa won 1st twice now, but this is when they really need it. I know they can win, it just comes down to them now. I hope the fan turnout for the bus rides down will be exceptional like last time, though it may not be the case on a tuesday.

Here's hoping all the best for Seth, Pat, Jarrod, and Brian!

Don't like it. Like you all said before, I don't like the genre. That's not to say they are a bad band, because they seem to have their shit together. I'd just never, ever listen to it, and those that would are a very small minority.

Bodog changed shit around on everyone and there were more elimination rounds added, this time with three judges. They were eliminated on the 24th in Cleveland at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. :(

Shit sucks.
