 Ellegarden Does anyone here like Ellegarden. I heard their version of Funny Bunny, and liked it, so i checked them out. What i found is that they are an okay band, except for the fact that when the singer sings in english, he has one of the gayest/punkish voices ive ever heard. They would be much better if they stuck to japanese. Does any one agree?

When I was in Japan some guy told me I'd like them if I liked the Pillows. He was wrong. They seem to be sort of boring pop-rock, but I haven't really given them much of a chance. The singer sort of seals the deal for me.

Pop punk, but you're close enough.
They aren't that amazing, but they bring in some nice trades on WinMX. Most Japanese like them because they're the closest thing they have to REAL PUNKS like Good Charlotte and Simple Plan.
Well, they think real punk is shit like that.

No, that's seriously how they feel.
Japanese punk bands like Going Steady/Ging Nang Boyz, who make 90% of what most Americans feel is the be-all-end-all of hardcore seem llike garbage with a barrage of intense vocals, insanely catchy bass hooks and multi-structured songs, are viewed as sellouts in Japan while teeny bopper crap like Good Charlotte and Simple Plan takes the spotlight as their punk icons.
It boggles the fucking mind. My band's drummer has a hard time believing it.
