As much as I dislike straight shredding now, I still listen every now and then to remind myself of how much work I have left to do.

This little SOB makes me sound like I play with lead weights on my fingers.

Just watch any video.

Maybe slightly faster than Rusty Cooley.

Fareri is actually too fast!

Wow. That's quite impressive, slightly amusical, but very impressive.

Speaking of impressive guitarists, you ever listen to Tchavolo Schmitt? He is an amazing jazz guitarist. He is definitely the best post-Django gypsy swing player out there, but he's not nearly as well known as he should be. He's one of the only currently playing gypsy swing musicians who writes good original songs in addition to playing standards.

Yeah, he is something to behold.

But after 2 min. of it, I crave a melody....

Anyway, I have not heard of Tchavolo Schmitt, but I will surely check him out now.

I am a huge jazz fan, and Django is fucking brilliant...sounds good.

The saddest part is that he can't play slowly.

Every now and then you hear him slow down and put a slight vibrato on one

note, it's painful.

The shred head is just tasteless.

The greatest use of double tapping was by Joe Satriani.

Listen to 'Midnight'.

Really?

I never considered myself that good of a shredder, but if you think I sound

like Fareri, well you just made my day.

you may not be fareri, but you can shred, and more importantly you can write music, can play most all styles, and know how to create mood.

something i look forward to. the more i play, the more i want to play.

Thanks.

Well, the best part about playing guitar and writing songs,

is that you can only get better.

That's f-ing crazy.

But yeah, it gets old. Yngwie on the other hand, isn't just straight shredding. It's a good combination of melody and shred. I rising force doesn't even shred that much. It does, but not as much as his later albums. And the shredding comes at perfect times. That album seriously can't be any better. Unless he made Icarus Dream Suite more interesting. Too long of a song. Good song, but too long. although the version on Concerto Suite for electric guitar in E flat major is awesome.
