 Anamanaguci (chiptune music)
http://anamanaguchi.com/Chiptune is the way modern music folk are describing the new 8-Bit music being made by several band-like entities since about 2005. Anamanaguci definitely deserves a listen, though the 8 bit sound makes their music (all chiptune music really) very niche.

I like Anamanaguchi a lot. Got into them from the Scott Pilgrim game soundtrack.

My friend's chiptune group Cathode Rays has performed with Amanaguchi, although I had to miss the show due to school. Chiptune music is really interesting, though sometimes, I get bored with it. Amanaguchi is pretty interesting stuff though.

I seriously dig this. I've been listening to the Scott Pilgrim soundtrack and Helix Nebula almost nonstop.

I saw these guys live earlier this year, and I've been following them for quite a while before that. They put on great shows, and they get the whole crowd dancing.

Okay, I don't think I've been so in love with a band since I really got into Ling Tosite Sigure.
Dear other bands, please write melodies as awesome as Anamanaguchi does.
Sincerely, Kyle

They're old buddies of mine! Super great dudes, their music is top notch too. I'm super psyched for their new album. Y'all should check out Starscream if you're into this sort of thing! They're BFFs with Anamanaguchi. http://starscream.bandcamp.com/

A new album is in the works? Awesome! Did not know that.

I really like them. Good motivational music for workouts, too.

 Re: Anamanaguci (chiptune music)
I've been listening to one of their songs for a while. It's the "Jetpack Blues" I think. But other than that, I'm not fond of their music... other than what we heard in Scott Pilgrim, I guess.
Time to get some albums.

 Re: Anamanaguci (chiptune music)
Not sure why I never thought to bump this thread. It's been almost a year since Endless Fantasy came out, it's honestly one of the greatest albums I've ever heard in my life and I can't recommend it highly enough. I love every song on that record, except maybe for SPF and the last track. It's the only album I've heard in years that had the impact similar to what I felt when I discovered The Pillows or Number Girl.
