In the song The Fame right in the beginning i swear it sounds like he says.. "On the day you were born.. Jun was in his bed.. thinking up songs.. with Yoko on his AHHHHHHhahah..." uhhh yeah what do you guys think? |

What the hell were you smoking? Anyway, their music is good to mellow out to. Not something you would bring to a party; but more for a bit of relaxation. Maybe their other stuff is more rockin'. They kinda sound a bit like Interpol. |

I know many people on IM aren't especially fond of The Stereo Future...but personally, I think they kicked so much ass live. Their ep, "Young People" wasn't so hot, but their live show blew my socks off. Hot damn, I need to see them again. |

I was really disappointed with their album, but I did like them live. It turned out that all the songs I liked from their performance weren't on the CD. They must have been the new songs that they recorded with Manabe in Japan. |

Stereo Future sounds really dumb to me. It's like they can't pull of the quirky E6 style and they just end up sounding like a bunch of nerdy white boys making music for other nerdy white boys. They sound like the glands but without any class or songwriting ability. Their production really subverts their style as well. There's no gestalt to their music at all. It's nothing more than the sum of its parts. |

I guess The Stereo Future is a like it or hate it kinda band. I liked their music. Especially "Pretty Eyes" And I don't really see what you mean by "nerdy" music. I guess some of the lyrics in Antartica can give of the feeling. Something along the lines of: "Glacial sublimation matrices enthroes into modernism" or something like that. I'm too lazy to get the booklet with lyrics. |
