Okay. Most of you have probably seen Justin King's (www.justinking.com) solo guitar video for the song Knock on Wood (google it, I'm too lazy to find it), but since mid-2004 he's gone from solo independent guy to assembling a band and, earlier this year, signed with Epic Records. He's releasing his first big album next spring. EASILY the most promising new talent in rock music (in the US, of course.) All of the clips from his site, videos, and live concerts sound great. Very promising.

His new music doesn't show it as often, but he is a fantastic player, especially for his young age... unlike most esoteric metal virtuoso players, his style is more acoustically based and far more unique, drawing influences from jazz, flamenco, whatever else. A truly talented musician.

In other words, Justin King >>>>>>>> Yngwie J. Malmsteen
