So what do we know about Manabe's old band, anyway? I don't seem to remember even Culen ever saying much about them. It's practically impossible to find anything on a band with a name like that. Does anyone here know a thing about PERSIA? It would be sweetness to actually get ahold of some of their music. |

there's a miniscule amount of information out there... near the bottom of this page this person talks a little bit about seeing manabe in sapporo, and mentions that he was in a band called MOTHER before persia (which was almost the same band, some of the members switched out or something). http://tackysroom.com/pillows.htm tacky also seems to own a couple persia tapes, which may be all they ever released. http://tackysroom.com/cassetecollection.htm this guy apparently saw MOTHER and persia play... and got a photo with manabe. o__o http://www11.plala.or.jp/shin-fullhouse ... 0room.html |

Well, at first I wasn't sure which was Pee... then I saw the cigarette. I think he's going for the Michael Jackson "Beat It" look with that red jacket. |
