iLove. and no, this isn't another "mac is better than pc" or "pc is better than mac" thread... I want an iPod so badly. Doesn't anyone else? Doesn't everyone? Music is my major possesion weakness point. that and books...but jeez, I must have the super expensive, super cool iPod (think of it! up to what? 5,000 songs on the 20GB model??!). The only downfall like in all mac products is the price, but with all of the pieces of crap cd players I bought from sony, I could've bought an iPod by now. Plus, the songs for $0.99 on itunes is pretty cool if your want just one song from a band, not an entire album. (I can say that I've wasted money on a album that I didn't like when I could've just bought the songs I like from iTunes and saved around $10.) Who else wnat to ge their hands on one? |

I love my iPod. It's just so awesome to have your entire music collection with you, wherever you go. Yeah, it's expensive, but I think how easy it is to setup and use make it worth it. The only downside to the iPod is that it dosen't support every audio format. So if you've got tons of stuff encoded in WMA, OGG, or mp3PRO you've gotta rip all that stuff again. |

That's soo awesome! I'm saving up my money for one because I'm sooo sick of carrying around my cds and clunky cd player. PLus, would would risk harming their Pillows cds?! But, yes...I can picture it now: my whole music collection wherever I go... |

I'll buy one when it reaches into the 100$ area. Need about 1 1/2 to 2 iPods to fit all my jazz and classical stache. It would be nice to listen to Beethoven's Path?tique in C Minor in Winnipeg or Coltrane's Every Time We Say Goodbye in Moscow. Nothing beats vinyl, though. |

My friend tells me everyday to buy an MP3 player but I'm not convinced. I don't generally download that much, and I like owning albums, even if they are terrible. I like looking at the album art and everything. Also, I've had the same CD player for about 3 years, dropped it at least 10 times. and it's still working. I feel like something like an ipod would break much more easily. |

i have a green mini. i take it with me everywhere. I don't have a ton of music, so it's perfect for me. it seems like every fifth kid at school has an ipod. they are insanely popular. My friend has a shuffle. i can appreciate why people might want to use them, but i wouldn't want one because i would probably end up eating it.* *on the ipod shuffle product page, just after comparing its size to a stick of gum, there is fine print that reads "do not eat ipod shuffle". And trust me, if I had an iPod, I'd still buy as many CDs as I do now. ^.^ Yeah, kids at school have them and it bugs me that I don't... they think they're soo special... |

I've got a 20 gig too. A friend of mine has a 40 gig, and my girlfriend has a blue mini. iPods are quite the rage these days. In fact, I recently got some nice Sony earbud headphones for mine that slide WAY into your ear, because I hate the stupid earbuds they come with. Also, Culen, what kind of case is that? My girlfriend has an iSkin but I'm not crazy about it. What brand is it and how has your experience with it been? Does it block any of the ports on the iPod or anything? Does it protect the screen? |
I've wanted an iPod for quite a while, but monetary fate isn't kind.
Go for the 1 gig shuffle. It's cheaper and while it's not 20 gigs, it's effective. And TIIIIIINY. However, I dunno how it works without a screen. Is it just a surprise every time you turn it on? |
