Re: SUPERCAR Sorry everyone, but I must disagree. It rocks!  I'm hoping it starts to drift from this poppy sound to more of a rock foundation, but I have no complaints. My favorite Lama is probably agraph's.

Re: SUPERCAR So for one thing, the mix on the album is way better than the single for Spell, the guitar is a lot more audible. New! is great, Cupid is my favorite track from it.
Their new album, Modanica, dropped yesterday, and it's brilliant. It's more reminiscent of late Supercar work than their first album was, a very good blend of electronic and rock, though the electronic in question here is more house/IDM than what Supercar was working with. I'm diggin' it. For You, For Me/Parallel Sign/In the Darkess/Namida no Umi are the top tracks for me thus far.
Edit: Also, Re: Supercar 2 was pretty mehtastic. Nakakou ruined more songs than not with his remixing.

Re: SUPERCAR Were there any demos of unheard songs on there? I was kind of curious to see if there'd be some stripped down demos of their later work as well. But I do feel the entire thing was messed up to begin with. A lot of the remixes on the first volume didn't do much justice, and a lot of the demos were of course cut off midway through. If you're going to put the material out there, why not release it in its entirety?

Because those songs never made it to a full version point, probably. The varying levels of incompleteness show how far they got with them as a band, I think.

Yeah this is true. I doubt Koji would just cut them off because he felt like it. Still cool to have the demos. I never thought fans would ever get the chance to hear them.
