 Re: Post your songs.
Here's an original we cooked up last week. We might make a few more like this.

Your new sound kinda reminds me of Orange: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7Sj3RWtSKEIf you like Dream Pop, I'd recommend checking out Airiel.

That group is really something Blank. I have them in my rotation now. Thanks for sharing. We reamped and did it again. Here is the final take I guess:

 Re: Post your songs.
Your vocal production sounds a lot like Daft Punk, haha. I dig the drumbeats a lot.

Anyway, if you liked Airiel, I really strongly recommend listening to some of the songs on this youtube playlist. Starting with the band I originally mentioned: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWxiGkn ... AFC3EAE1C4As for your song, the vocals need a lot of work. Please don't take it the wrong way, I know you're busting your ass off, but to me they come across as being really flat or off-tune. I think maybe trying to sing using your diaphragm more would help quite a bit.

 Re: Post your songs.
My vocals do need a lot of work, but the guitarist, Joe, sang most of the lead vocals on this track. This is the first time he's taken the lead on the vocals, so it was pretty rough, but, like you said, it needs work. Still doing things for the first time over here. I think the next song will show more improvement...
We will re-record things and remix them when it is EP time.

Our new song. Called "Forward".
Edit: The song has been significantly remixed. If you listen before, please take another listen if you'd like.

 Re: Post your songs.
It says it can't find the track. But I heard it before you posted the new one and I enjoyed it.

 Re: Post your songs.
Hi guys, I haven't been here in years but I started listening to the pillows again and it made me think of you all. The last thing I spoke about here was some gear I owned and I was a part of that pillows' cover contest with Brye916. I want to show you guys the band that I'm in. It's called Long Knives, we are based out of Oakland, CA. We signed with Count Your Lucky Stars back in November of last year. We're an indie emo punk band, it's hard for me to describe. I play bass in the band. Give it a listen and I'm interested in hearing what you guys think. The URL brings you to the band's bandcamp.

Hey man, hope you're doing well, long time no see on here.
I like the instruments, but personally the vocals aren't really my cup of tea.

 Re: Post your songs.
Thanks for the input Marekenshin! It really isn't for everyone. One time I was printing flyers, an old 95 year old lady asked what I was printing. Told her it was for my band and she wanted to hear. Played what I had on my phone and she liked everything but the vocals. True story.

 Re: Post your songs.
I spent a while when I listened trying to figure out what it was that I didn't like about them, but couldn't quite put my finger on it. I'm guessing with time they'll get better, though, if they consciously try to get better at singing, because it's not so bad that I was left feeling like the singing was awful or anything like that. Just...not quite my thing. I get pretty particular about vocals, though, and really dig the overall feeling and melodies a lot, so keep it up, and congrats on getting signed/touring.

 Re: Post your songs.
Thanks again Marekenshin for the input. We're half way through the contract and we're working on an LP. Trying to find a studio to record at is a lot of work. The past two studios we used were OK but the end result we were kinda not satisfied. We worked with what we had at the time and that was the end result. It's all fun and touring gets grueling sometimes and feeling comfortable is really a luxury that isn't always available.

Let me know if you're playing a show down in the LA area, I'll try to make it out! Your guys sound seems like it'd be baller live.
