I am in musical bliss. This album really blew it out of the water for me. It's everything I could have wanted in an orchestral album. I have only very minor complaints about some of the arrangements, and there's only one song that I truly dislike because of preferring the original instrumentation, but that aside, it's awesome. I really wanted the new Chrono Trigger/Cross orchestral album to be like this one was.

He had technical issues with his loop systems and couldn't get everything working quite as he wanted, but it was actually better than this performance from a year ago when he did this particular song, in spite of that. Badass.

That was awesome in many, many ways.

It has been all Prince today--on the radio, on all the jukeboxes, on all the news stations. Minneapolis is mourning. There's a great horde of people dancing down at First Ave downtown in his honor. Everything purple.

Everyone has been reminiscing a lot today, especially my parents. My dad got a bunch of text messages today about it, but seemed, at least outwardly, unaffected.
