Re: Guilty Pleasures

Sometimes I feel guilty for listening to noodles. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bij69_4VUcU
Noodles are a pretty good band though. Fuzz Hill, God Cable, and Long Long Chain are all super legit. They sort of fell apart when they lost Junko, and their earlier days I did not care for (Yoko's voice was allll over the place...), but they have a few solid discography entries. Minimum Talk is one of their best songs, no doubt. Ivy and onward, it's a little The Predators-itis. But Ivy and Cover Me, Shakespeare did indeed have some good songs. Lemon Grass Foo Foo is one of my faves.
I agree for the most part. But I think Slow Coaster definitely belongs on that super legit list. There are some EXCELLENT songs on there that don't get enough love. Mirror, Girl and Sun might be one of my favorite Noodles song ever. Also, the EPs during their awesome era (Deep Beyond the Dream, Rainbow, Lite Pop) are very awesome as well. As for my own guilty pleasures, I kinda got a thing for Smashmouth. Specifically that Astro Lounge album.

Haven't listened to all of it. But I think It's kinda hit and miss. Disconnect the dots, Nervous in the Alley, Walkin' on the sun on the top of my head, are cool songs. Also Sister Psychic (coz of the Come On, Ghost (the pillows) similarity =P)

Re: Guilty Pleasures
I'm a sucker for just about anything popular from the 80s. I heard stuff like Beat It by Michael Jackson and Jump by Van Halen when I was a kid (in the 90s) and thought it was the coolest crap I'd ever heard. Even cheesy hair-metal bands are fun.

Re: Guilty Pleasures
How is that awesome? Unless of course you're referring to the fact that he managed to somewhat compensate for the bullshit by partial bends, which is pretty amazing considering.

Re: Guilty Pleasures
Well, that is pretty awesome, but it's not like we need any proof that Eddie Van Halen has such a mastery over the guitar and music in general to be able to do that - so really, it's little more than a somewhat troublesome incident.

Re: Guilty Pleasures
It's awesome because it's funny. And there is absolutely no doubt that David Lee Roth riding a giant inflatable microphone across the stage is awesome.
