Before you listen to this, I cannot advise highly enough that you devote yourself to listening to the piece the way it deserves to be listened to: in a noise free environment with high quality headphones or high quality surround sound speakers, watching these performers perform. I am legitimately baffled this didn't warrant a standing ovation.

Been listening to this track by a guy named Shawn Alpay on repeat fairly often lately, he plays cello support for one of my favorite bands (Matt Pond PA) and recently started doing a solo project called Completions which is primarily layers of just vocals and cello, and is awesome like a baritone Sufjan Stevens or something: https://soundcloud.com/completions/completionsSong hits me pretty hard in a way that's hard to describe, just give it a listen.

Re: What are you currently listening to? I fucking love Hard Girls (and Shinobu, of course), will give Kudrow a listen!  Edit: Brooklyn Pool was super great, I dig these Kudrow guys. Apparently the bassist plays for Laura Stevenson, who I just saw as one of the opening bands for Matt Pond PA (final tour!!!  ), and the vocalist is the dude from Bomb the Music Industry. Neat!
