Stumbled upon this live of Tombo today and busted a nut. Video quality's a little low, but it's glorious nonetheless: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4B7sH2HQkCw

Re: Number Girl
The banner on that page is sexy as fuck.
I'm listening to SGDA for the first time in forever. God, I forgot how good this album is.

Re: Number Girl
Very exciting to hear a slightly new take on these songs!
Although my excitement is a bit tempered from remembering that NG is always better on their live tracks.
http://www.universal-music.co.jp/number-girl/news/20/ They're releasing 15th anniversary editions of SGDA, Sappukei, and Num-Heavymetallic this year, which will be remastered by Dave Fridmann and will include even more unreleased live material. Good shit right here.
Dude, when I saw "Dave Fridmann" I wet my pants. This is some "break out the wallet, I'll take 20" shit for me. HELLA STOKED.

Re: Number Girl
So Universal Music Japan just uploaded the music videos for Toumei Shoujo and Touch. Nothing new or special, but it's nice to see their videos getting officially uploaded. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Ct9F8kCigQhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=462YnMu5EsA

Re: Number Girl
I've been watching the TV interviews and features from the last two discs of Omoide 3 for the first time in ages. Now that my Japanese is good enough to understand most of what they're saying, this is all really interesting. I'm rediscovering why Number Girl is one of my favorite bands, after not listening to them very much for a while.

Re: Number Girl
I haven't been paying much attention to the reissues... with the exception of SGDA all the original albums sound fine to me and I've already got dozens of hours' worth of NG live material so I don't see what's the big deal about even more of it.
True, the SGDA remaster probably sounds better than the original, but since the performances of a lot of those songs are a lot better on the live versions like Shibuya Rocktransformed (especially songs like Kurutte Sorou and Nichijou) it seems like a marginal benefit and money-grabbing on Toshiba EMI's part.
