i stand fucking corrected. no further proof is needed.
and yes thrice, there are more gibsons than fenders. its the whole les paul thing. why the hell would you want a fucking heavy guitar anyway? sure the thing sounds like a dream but man, i want to jump and fly around the stage and not be dragged down by that thing.

P-90/Humbucker is popular in many artist's Gibson LP's and SG's today.
I like the sound of it.

ok.. you pass.
have you heard:
faith
void
minor threat
bad brains
black flag
necros
battalion of saints
verbal abuse
if you havent heard any of those, sprint to the nearest record store and BUY, BUY, BUY.

bad brains first album is classic.. anything after that isnt really worth listening to. doesnt make their early stuff any less powerful though. same with black flag. post-damaged black is shit.. but i hold that "the first four years" is the greatest collection of music america has ever produced.

Yeah, but what I'm trying to say is a choice of Suffer-era Bad Religion topples Bad Brains in the category of all-out punk.
And before you start, a punk band's record doesn't have to sound like shit for it to be punk.

i know, i still love ch3, angry samoans, youth brigade, early social d..
still. VOID comes closest of any band to crossing the line into pure NOISE without actually..
find the track "who are you?" by void, and cream your pants at the intensity of it, and the briliant vocals.

hey jedi, if you're good enough, your hardware shouldn't matter all that much...
honestly... i've gone between nice and shitty guitars and i sound shitty on all of 'em. conversely, i've heard good players switch between good and shitty guitars and they sound good on all of 'em.
i don't know what's worse... you guys knowing stats about music hardware, or my friends in real life and their computer hardware.... hmmmm...

not true. i went from a shitty strat knock-off to a genuine strat. along with having a much better tone.. nice guitars are easier to play. better action. better feel.
it'll help your playing.. and as it does, you'll find you're good enough to need a real guitar.
