Yea he hasn't uploaded any new videos in a long time. On the blooper video, when he's on the beach he looks/sounds like Josh Peck

Yeah, I think good cameras would help.

Yeah, good cameras are a plus. I think I have a fairly decent one. I've recorded shows i've played with it and it sounds fine to me :)

oh goodness, that is exactly what I was thinking. Translated lyrics sang in english means you have to dramatically alter the vocal melody. I mean, without even ever hearing the song before, one in the audience might feel like the performer is forgetting the lyrics with so many awkward speed ups/downs/stresses and held notes. Just don't do it, yo. :dizzy:

I have some lines of dialogue to record sometime this week or next at school. I'll see how my voice sounds on a studio mic. ^_^

My camcorder is nice but I don't know what video if any I could provide. Lol, watching a playhead scroll across the screen doesn't sound terribly entertaining. Only time I'd need a camcorder would be if I were singing.

Just to be sure it's stated, any potential involvement on my part must wait until my current project is finished.

10 months ago, I commented:
I think the problem with translating all of these songs into English is that it really forces you to extend syllables awkwardly. It's because the translation doesn't take into account how exactly it's sung in Japanese - it's just the meaning. So you're left with trying to fill up syllable space with things like: "Kiiii-iii-ii-inndly." rather than "yasashiku."

And even when you try to change it around, like saying "myself" rather than "me" or saying "he was saying" from "he said"...you're forcing yourself to make the lyrics...inefficient I guess.

So to avoid awkward phrasing, awkward syllables, and losing the whole integrity of the song...
...just sing the song in Japanese, and briefly tell everyone in the audience what it's about, the story arc if there is one, something like that. You're not capturing the soul of the song when it's in English

Do we even need a singer?

GoldenRhino has a point, we may as well sing it in Japanese :)

And why wouldn't we need a singer?

I think it'd be more awesome if we did have a singer.

If you guys want to start off on an easy Engrish song that's short, Advice would fit that bill.

I can do vocals pretty well and rhythm, and my video camera is decent as far as audio and video. Tell me if you want my help.

Also, I would suggest Gazelle City.

Lets do something that no one has done.
I suggest some super old stuff, Razorlike Blue?
Or maybe something awesome like Ice Pick.

Do you guys have a bassist?

I'm considering buying a bass soon, and if you guys need one it would motivate me much more into practicing.

Just make sure to choose a song that has tabs :dizzy:

I could also play guitar, but as I stated before, I'm not as good as most people on IM.

We can and should have multiple vocalists/guitarists/etc. and divide up the work, since several of us have expressed interest and many of us play the same instrument. It will also make it an IM project, rather than a 4-guys-from-IM project.

Dude! Ice Pick would be awesome!! I say we should do that or Gazelle city as well.

And I agree with Sheer, making this a whole IM project would be a lot better than 4 IMers.
