Pretty good.
For some reason it reminds me of the Strokes (mainly the vocals, but partly the lack of any sort of lead guitar.

Yeah. The strokes have two guitarists though. All this stuff myself single tracked, minus let's go take pictures, where i dub in a little solo type thing.

Yeah, but for some reason the lead in the stuff by the Strokes that I tried never really hit me very hard as anything terribly interesting.
Are you doing vocals? If so, continue. If not, make somebody else play guitar so you can play some lead lines.
How do you adapt them?
all you really do is play with the wording so that they sound good and flow like the japanese version without changing the meaning of the phrase.
for example.
the second verse of shiroi natsu was translated by terra to
A tender person's tender love
I've decided to let it die, and I've survived
Worn down from telling lies
My song is perfectly beautiful, don't you know
whereas I sing it as
A tender one's tender love
I let it die, and survived
Battered and worn from telling those lies
My song sounds good, don't you think?
I changed the wording because these words sounded better sung. But the ideas are still the same.
of course it would be better if I had done the translating myself so I could understand the original phrasing and connotations better for the translation. But for now I trust Terra.

My friend is singing, but he can play guitar but not well enough to the point where i'd want him playing on the recordings.

Just get a rhythm guitarist then, or record the rhythm guitar and then vocals separately? You could always go with the classic one guitarist feel, but from what I heard of your playing before you seem like more the kind of guy that shines best with something holding the rhythm chords so you can really go all out.

I like it. Again, a little more active guitar would be nice, but it's still really good.

New song. I think this is my favorite one yet.
I dig your stuff.
'Intersection' has a very familiar melody/feel, and I like it.
Slightly nostalgic...anyway I wish it were a few minutes longer.

This band is called Bulleta. My friend was taught how to play bass guitar by one of the members. Their style is reminiscent to that of X-Japan, early Dir en grey, and the Gazette.
The song is called "Prostitute[Nancy]." I'm not sure if it's related to the "Oliver Twist" character (since the song is in Japanese), but it kind of surprised me.
