Re: Rin Toshite Shigure
After listening to the album some more, I have to say Kyle, I really like some of the tracks on Sigure Virgin. Need to listen some more, but this is is this is definitely one of my favorite songs by these guys.

Re: Rin Toshite Shigure
Oh yes. From the clips I heard, it's going to be great. It amazes me how their music gets more intricate and complex the longer they spend on a major label.

Abnormalize is AMAZING! My bandmates and I LOVE it. It's so damn good. I found the PV free for download. Good quality. Good shit guys! http://syahdumusic.blogspot.com/2012/11/ling-tosite-sigure-abnormalize-download.html

I think I've only ever heard one song by these guys. am345 or something like that. It's pretty good.

Re: Rin Toshite Shigure
A must-listen Ling track (from the album "just A moment"): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLThRVW0VjoAcoustic (from "#4") and am3:45 (from "Inspiration is DEAD") are probably my other two favorite Ling tracks.

I can't stand 'em. The instrumentals are great but those vocals...

Re: Rin Toshite Shigure
Call me crazy, but I've never liked Tremolo+A all that much. It fits in nicely and helps to balance the album, but I never listen to the song on its own - a 7days wonder, seacret cm, and especially mib126 are all a lot better.
I like Acoustic too, but the album version is only so-so. The live version from the DVD is so much better, with the awesome spacey guitar in the beginning and the changed ending.
The new single's out. Abnormalize is good, but the b-side Make Up Syndrome is even better; I think they played this song when I saw them live about a year ago.

I'm not as big on Acoustic either, but woah woah woah! Tremolo+A is ace! It's got that rhythmic precision and concentrated acoustic lines that really grab my ears. Just a Moment is probably my favorite album by Toshite, and that's because I love just about every song on the album. It just doesn't let up, imo.
Edit: the b-side is good too. Good single.

Re: Rin Toshite Shigure
I go back and forth on Just A Moment. When Sigure Virgin came out, I didn't like Moment nearly as much, but in retrospect it seems like their most diverse record (Virgin is diverse too, but tends to be so by putting a lot of ideas in each song, whereas things are done more on a song-by-song basis on Moment.) Plus, mib 126 and a 7days wonder are two of my absolute favorites, it'd still win if those were the only good songs on the album.
I never noticed how good Acoustic was until I watched this.
The first forty five seconds represent the kind of music I love better than almost anything else I can think of.
Sigure (and TK's) acoustic-ish songs usually aren't my favorites. This is is this? is the best of the bunch, namely because twelve strings rule, and it builds up to a power rock climax.

Re: Rin Toshite Shigure
Man, I really should go through this forum because I've found you guys generally have some nice tastes in music >_>; I woulda found Rin Toshite Shigure years ago if that was the case. I first discovered them via Abnormalize (which was used as Psycho-Pass's first opening) and have since gotten into them.
