Haha, I didn't want to be the one to say it, but yeah...not a fan of them at all.

The mainstream not-quite-punk stuff isn't usually my thing, but I guess MCR is a guilty pleasure. I quite liked their rather unknown first album a number of years ago and I've followed them since. That "Teenagers" song which I hear is popular (I haven't listened to the radio in years), however, really makes my want to tear my ears off and stomp on them. I hate those "wah wah they're making you conform waaah" bullshit songs.
But they're not really that horrible. They can at least play their instruments which puts them above like 90% of American crap as of late.

I went to see Ratface and my friends band Third Man Down laste week. Not really my type of music, but one cannot listen them live without gaining extra adrenaline in blood. The bad thing is that you are going to get hurt because of those violent dudes at pit.
Don't know about the next gig I'm going to.

Went to see From The Jam in late January. For those of you not in the know, From The Jam is two out of the three original members of The Jam (Bruce Foxton-bass and Rick Buckler-drums) reformed with two other musicians that have worked with Rick. Closest thing you're gonna get to seeing the original Jam playing live. Great show.
Except for the cost of attendance. Seriously Ticketmaster/House of Blues, what the fuck?!

teenagers is a great song. when i listened to black parade, it was my favorite by far and i didn't expect it to be a single because of it's trashy country rock elements... little do these kids know, they LIKE COUNTRY. lulz.
last show? myspace.com/myonics (fucking awesome)
next show(s):
myspace.com/theskullfuckers (friends. might suck, might be awesome)
myspace.com/thedevilmakesthree (awesome)
then noodles and pillows. mostly going for noodles, but the pillows should be pretty good too.

ditto. I'll be at the Japan Nite show in chicago. In the mean time I gotta find an obscure punk rock venue that isnt actually a metal venue.

Re: The Last Show you Went to/Next Show you will Go to
Just came back from a really, really tight three and a half hour show with four Japanese indie rock bands.
The Jerry, The Novembers, People in the Box, tacica.
The Novembers were the only band with two guitarists, and had by far the weakest performance, which was pretty interesting. They're not bad, the other bands are just way better, haha. Sweet show, People in the Box's drummer was really hilarious during their goods advertising MC.

My last show was the Aggrolites. It was by far the best set I've ever watched. It was a fun crowd, too. People actually DANCED. Not moshed, but grooved.
I'm gonna see Big D and the Kid's Table/Suburban legends on Saturday. I'm excited.

Last show I saw was in SF's Japan Center Heritage Festival. I was there to see Thee Out Mods and Lemon Drop Kick.
Next show will be Alkaline Trio @ The Fillmore on July 28th, 2008. Might even see The English Beat on August 1st.
