Just listened to Wheatus' self titled album (http://kat.ph/wheatus-wheatus-t4644274.html).
I really enjoyed it. Cheerful pop-rock.

Two Mix - Just Communication.

I found out about the bands 'Tacica' known from the latest opening track of Naruto Shippuuden: 'Newsong',
and also 'Going Under Ground'... it was just later, that I found out that they were featured on 'Synchronized Rockers' doing a cover of 'Little Busters'.

I'll both recommend them, although I haven't heard that much of them yet.
But what I've listened to is quite solid material.
'Tacica' reminds me of 'Snowkel'. Both are a three-piece band, with guitar/vox + bass + drums.
I bet Mafu can tell you some more about 'Going Under Ground'

Been listening to Thee American Revolution's album Buddha Electrostorm.

This band is one of Robert Schneider's side-projects. He's the lead singer for Apples in Stereo, and this project of his is grittier and louder than most of the recent Apples albums. It's really awesome, and makes me wonder what the Apples would have sounded like had they not adopted a more electronic sound after 2002. Check it out, it's good stuff:

Yeah. I have bits of eight of their albums. I highly recommend getting your hands on some of the demos if you can. Ikareta Baby, Night Cruising, and Blue Summer in particular are fantastic. (Uchuu Best of the Fishmans) Check out soulseek and I'm sure you can get most (if not all) of their discography.

I did manage to get ahold of Uchuu-- it was the only complete album I was able to get ahold of. Been looking for [i]Orange[/i] and [i]Kuuchuu Camp[/i] as well. Thanks for the tip-- I'll try and hit up Soulseek.

I definitely recall seeing a few of their albums float around a while back. Good music, but I get a little bored of the vocalist somehow.

Wow, that's kind of...a shitty top 150 list, lol. They think that Jump Up is Supercar's best album? Absurd. They didn't put Happy End on there until fucking 32 on the list. Yellow Magic Orchestra doesn't pop up until fucking 142? Who the hell did this list, seriously. And fucking DJ Krush on a "best rock album" list? God dammit, Japan. (Edit: before anybody answers that rhetorical question, I know it's some magazine called Snoozer that made this travesty.)

Edit 2: Also, fucking lol that the Rolling Stone Japan top 100 Japanese rock albums list, despite having been deemed "boring" by Snoozer, is just a better fucking list overall.
