Damn, Scloney.
I don't care what you said, those vocals were awesome.
I agree. I disagree about Frank Blacks vocals not being hard to do because in my opnion U mass is not as easy to sing as you guys are making it sound. You are one talented kid vocally and musically. Keep it up.

While I myself do play guitar, I am not in a band.
I am involved in a band made up of some friends and my older brother.
At this moment their main area is old nintendo songs like megaman 2, punch-out, and the like. They main guitarist did write a pretty good song.

Btw it's a unfamous band in central arizona, called Funky Munks.
(Only had 2 concerts in a member's back yard, that's how unpopular.)

I am glad you both liked it.
I was alittle worried about posting a song with my singing on it, because
well...I'm not a singer. But I am happy to hear someone actually thinks it's good.
Mellie, I agree 100% , Frank Black's vocal melodies are not easy.
In fact, alot of them stretch 3 octaves. I just felt U-Mass was alittle easier
to sing than say....Velouria. One of the hardest parts was making the vocals energetic.
Of course the screaming on U-mass is a work out all it's own.

You think so? My guitar teacher(who's also a vocal coach) gave me a few small pointers on vocal crescendo and decrescendos, then adding soft and rough pitches(the way I always thought Frank does on Velouria and Where is My Mind. Not that I sound like him at all, but for a big guy like me I can get pitches in a pretty high range then quickly into my mid-range. So, I kinda sing like a girl).
Notes and vibratos are the issues I dread in.
You keep at it, though. It will you a much more powerful musician.
