Ivy. interesting new york based indie pop band. you guys should check em out. the first time i heard them i thought they sounded a bit luminous orange-y without the guitar riffs, drums and stuff.

If anyone is looking for some new Japanese music to try, this guy over on a Jpop forum uploaded a TON of stuff to Sendspace.

Too bad about half of that is visual kei nonsense. There appears to be some stuff worth checking out, however.

Be sure to grab the Matsuri Session - Tokyo discs if you haven't already. (this goes to any Zazen Boys fan) Yaon is a joke for the most part.

Knock it off, the Yaon session is fine. It's not as good as Tokyo 2004, but does have Kankaku teki ni NG and a great performance of Whiskey & Unubore.

Too bad this guy doesn't have the At Matsuri Studio disc. I almost got it on SLSK the other day, but the user who had it went offline.

I think Yaon is the best of all the post-Inazawa lives. I still don't have all of the 12.27 2005 Tokyo album though, so I can't really compare that.

I guess Yaon isn't so bad; the all-Mukai version of Jimonjitou just really bothers me. I miss having the boys do backup vocals.

Where have their mics gone?
