Re: Pillows Tribute Album Sign-Ups
I can program midi drums for any songs without drummers. This is a fun idea. I think it'd also be cool to do a tribute album where we all do one song ourselves.

Re: Pillows Tribute Album Sign-Ups
Oh, now that this topic has been resurrected, that reminds me: a while back, I tried recording my drums with a strategically placed iSight camera mic, and after some fiddling with the EQ, I managed to get a fairly decent drum sound out of it.
So yeah, I'd be down to play and record drum parts for whatever song needs drums.

Re: Pillows Tribute Album Sign-Ups
Well, I still want to do this, but no longer for the songs I picked out for the most part. I'll try to tab out Ice Pick though, can't find a tab for the non-acoustic one.

Re: Pillows Tribute Album Sign-Ups
I'd still like to see this happen. If people toss some drum tracks together, I'm sure you'll find everything else will start coming together pretty quickly.

I mean, you can do worse than midi drums, but you can also do much better, lol.
If people toss some drum tracks together, I'm sure you'll find everything else will start coming together pretty quickly.
Here's a take of One Life I recorded (about a year ago): http://soundcloud.com/tonikfunkture/one-life-drum-trackRecording drums well without spending a boatload of money is, by far, the biggest obstacle for me. While the super low-budget recording setup I used to record that take (i.e. a single iSight microphone and some eq magic) is somewhat decent, I'm still looking into some better recording methods (I have two pretty good vocal mics at my disposal—the question is figuring out how to make them work well with drums…). Anyways, when I figure all that recording shit out, I'd be happy to contribute drum tracks for any song.* * - Sunday might be a little tricky for me because my brushes are really quiet compared to the ones Shin used on the recording, but I'll figure something out.

Re: Pillows Tribute Album Sign-Ups
Here's the facts:
I like this idea because despite being located all over the globe we could each contribute our parts independantly and combine them as one, this really appeals to me. If somebody tabs it, i'm ready, willing, and able to play guitar.
The reality of the situation is that there arn't enough people interested who have the time and discipline to stick with it. We're not organized enough.

I think the reality of the situation is that everyone plays the guitar and not much else.
I think the reality of the situation is that everyone plays the guitar and not much else.
Orochi plays drums and Little Norbert plays bass. We've got atleast a couple people confident enough to do vocals and there's probably a couple others that i'm forgetting.
WOO PIANO!!!
