Marekenshin - don't you know that the popularity of an instrument model is inversely proportional to its quality?

Oh silly me, I forgot that little tidbit. I thought guitars got popular due to reliability, quality, and good sound. Oops.

It's not that I don't like the Strat, it's that I don't like the way it's utilized by about 95% of guitarists. The clean Strat sound, on the right pickup setting, with the right amp - absolute magic. But I almost always hate the way Strats almost always sound with anything more than minimal overdrive - that whiny screech that makes my ears bleed. Although to be fair, Chin is playing on a humbucker bridge pickup so he kinda avoids this problem.

So how come some of you don't like "Hikari"? I think it's wonderful. Yes, it's like "Ningen" but who cares? I like the PV as well. Please, explain yourselves.

It's not as good as I don't wanna die. It's not as good as Ningen. It's not as good as nantonaku bokutachi wa otona ni naru, or tokyo, or any other song of its type. It's okay, but not anything special.

I think it's special, but I do like Aidonwanadai better.
Hearing Hikari is like listening to GNB for the first time. It's so rough in some ways, and that might turn you off, but the underlying song is so hauntingly beautiful that you listen anyway. Soon you discover that the roughnerss complements the song, and you ejaculate in your jeans.

Doublepost, but for those who haven't seen yet:

Okay, I changed my mind - I actually like Hikari a lot now. It's too similar to Ningen, but I think it's actually a bit better. The keys/organ/whatever is a nice touch, the bass is more memorable, and the production sounds really good.

I don't know if anyone saw this: http://thissongisgood.blogspot.com/2007 ... chive.html
It's old, I know. I just think it's funny.
BTW, what is the name of the second track on the "Hikari" single?
