Holy crap Juan, I recorded the same song (at least I think it's the same). Mine sounds a bit different, probably because I've never heard the actual correct version of the song. Anyways, tell me what you think.
It has some parts that sound similar, but I don't think it's the same song.
Whatever song it is, you played it well.

Lately I've been arranging little piano ideas, that may later be put in to actual songs. For any of you who play the piano, here are a couple.

Edit: Sorry for the things being so huge. I fail.

And now, the most noobtastic, low-quality recording ever to grace IM:

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=449526

Recorded with my iMac's internal mic and Garageband, something I DON'T know how to use.

May contain traces of: Thank You, My Twilight (speed, clean, and stupid) - Calvero - ROBOTMAN - Funny Bunny - Paper Triangle - Nonfiction - Energy - Thunder Whales Picnic - Bran-new Love Song.

::runs far away::

I don't play piano but they both sound/look square and straightfoward, the prelude is better and could be improved.

TYMT is horrible, paper triangle is the best, in my opinion, the other are on different ok levels, but you've been playing for just few months, isn't it.

i do and i agree... honestly, they look a lot like church hymns. you can still stick to traditional harmony and add a little more flair. the bass clef in the second line of the prelude could definitely use some more variety.

I'll give you credit for knowing how to play the lead parts on some of those. Better than me in that respect.

Not too bad, if you really have been playing just for a short while.

I made it like that on purpose to let the melody stick out.

Sorry to triple post, but I recorded a jazz one...to make up for the shred.

Edit: Also just recorded an origional semi jazz song. Maiden Voyage was by herbie hancock, but you all should know that anyway, right?

Props for (mostly) correct voice leading. You also might want to try some non-diatonic chords if you're going for a Bach-esque chorale.

When I made that, I was unaware of secondary dominants, how to sucessfully use 7ths and pivot chords and stuff like that.
